Probably selective bias on the boards: the more money you've spent, the more you're likely to contest or complain about a punishment that loses you access to your purchased content. I personally doubt there's much correlation between purchasing habits and toxicity.

I think I'm somewhere around $1400 on my account and I got Honor 5 about as quickly as possible for someone who doesn't play 72 games a day.
I don't think it's just how much money you spend. I will get frustrated playing in a game where I have to waste 20-60 mins of my life playing with people who are trolling when I'm actually trying to win. The fact that you are forced to play or you get punished is tilting. I'm not saying for them to remove punishments for leaving games, but I'm just saying that's what tilts me. It's not just about money but the time being wasted.
