Riot, I thank you for dealing with Tyler1, but...

It was quite the surprise to see the announcement that you went after that guy and did some extreme measures to stop him from playing, and a pleasant one, for we all have been affected by a troll at some point in our League time.

That being said, is this the start of a new procedure to deal with high notoriety trolls/ragers/afkers? (obvious reference to people like Kaceytron and Nicktron), or did Tyler1 cross some kind of line that the others haven't crossed? (if that's the case, I'd be highly interested in which is it).

For the time being, let's hope that public execution scares the other public trolls so they stop their shenanigans.

The sheer number of times he's been perma-baned, then went on to continue to behave in ways that continued to get perma'ed again. It went into double digits.

I never play normals, never.

I played one tonight, guys support got banned (I'm adc in the scenario btw.)

Game starts, 15min he's 0/9 and really just trying to feed. Running off alone into their jungle, diving towers, all that.

I will never play normals again, I mean I don't have that shitty of an experience in ranked.

Those kind of fucking people need banned on site, just gone in a heartbeat. If Riot actually tried or the Tribunal came back to where only those with no restrictions or bans could use it this shit would not happen.

I haven't seen much about "indefinite bans" but I don't think it is nearly as big of a deal as it sounds. I donno what methods they have to actually enforce it, but it seems to me that an indefinite ban is mostly a ban from streaming. Tyler1 wasn't the first one, but I doubt this will become a common thing. It is my understanding that the primary reason for the special punishment was the persistent evasion of the bans by leveling and/or buying new accounts. I really don't see this affecting very many people. Most would get bored and move on, but since he had become a popular streamer he was making money while doing it so he had an extra incentive to keep going that most people will never have.

Personally, the biggest thing that bugs me about the whole indefinite or lifetime ban thing is that I think all permanent bans should be that by default.

Kaceytron and Nicktron don't have 19 permabanned accounts and don't actively encourage people to intentionally feed and run down mid. They're "acting" as bad players, there's nothing in the rules that says that you're not allowed to be bad.
