PSA: Stop trying

"Muted", "baby", "I **** your mom daily", "You don't even deserve to talk to me"...

Let's just have this out right now, for the sake of more competitive games in the future.

• If you see me in your game, don't bother engaging with juvenile frivolities such as these. They have no effect on my self-esteem whatsoever, and they are not going to bait me into some pointless verbal hip-thrusting contest. Literally all you are accomplishing by doing this is taking time away from your mechanics to type, which in turn makes you less challenging an opponent, and less worthy a teammate for the four guys you're playing with.

• Do not derive your sense of pride from a video game. If you're pounding your chest and assuming moral high ground because you outperformed someone in one match of one inconsequential video game, you are in a very unhealthy place.

The fact aside that League is worth literally nothing aside from the fun distraction it provides... Every human being has bad games, no matter how practiced they are at what they're doing. Eventually you're going to have one, and if you lose the foundation for every bit of pride in your heart after one loss in a video game, you are going to be very emotionally unstable, which I'm sure is not a fun way to live.

• Communicating with me is a privilege. I am not obligated to put up with your nonsense, and indeed I dare suggest you're not worthy of any more of my time than I'm paying you by being your League opponent for 30 minutes. When I ignore you, it's best if you carry on with your day as best it can be experienced from where you are on this spectrum. Grasping for the attention of your principals is a poor habit to develop, often yielding little to no substantial fruit.
