Sure, we won the match... But that does not excuse the fact they forced me to play support, their assigned (autofilled) role. I've already been autofilled twice today. I didn't want to be a third time.

Even if, and this is a big if, the player didn't troll in the scenario of option one. How is this behavior in any way acceptable? He got bullied out of a role and maybe handled it wrong and the only option he has is hoping that it works out???
I am sorry but this should be easy to detect in the pre-game chat and I wish riot would actually make an easy report function for people that do it. Because they cave under pressure is not good enough in my honest opinion.

This is a recurring problem and it needs to stop.
Folks threatening to int or troll in champ select? Better dodge or youll probably lose, and either way you'll lose LP. Hope you're not in promos. :) Somebody abuses the pick system and tries to steal your role? Better throw the game because otherwise they won't get in trouble for it. :))) Getting razzed in game by a toxic asshole? Don't. Say. A. Word. Or your report on them will mean nothing. :)))))))))))))))))))))
The state of the game is skewed towards "taking one for the team" and "not stooping to their level," and often I find this punishes the wrong people. Even when it works as intended, it requires a damn sight more suffering than should be necessary.
We need a better system.

I'm with you on this, but people play this game for fun. Not to help police the community. Players shouldn't have to play a match out just to be able to get rid of a troll who straight up stole their role.
This is why we need a way to report people from champion select.

Does that account for before or after the person who's getting their role stolen picks their champion?

You'd be surprised how stubborn low diamond players can be - they'd rather maintain their ego and take a full loss than go for the climb.

I'm pretty sure that's just league in general given how a lot of people prefer arguing in a salty manner to using the Riot-given mute button.
But yeah, I'd say you should report if he abused the pick system to twist your arm rather than accept it with grace.

Even though there is not a specific category in the report section that is capable to match perfectly the criteria of your issue, I believe you should therefore report this behavior as "Negative Attitude". You should also include a description of your concern while you report a player. This will navigate more accurately Riot staff through the problem.

Ifneth1 votesI agree with the person who said to say no and take your role anyway. If he walks to your lane and tries to play your role during the game, then report him. Obviously, his doing so could make you lose, but so would letting this troll take your role and make you play support. At least you get the sweet satisfaction of the instant feedback report that way.
Regardless, report him for griefing because he stole your role and harassment because he no doubt demanded it harshly. Also, if he walks into lane to take your role, then also report him for intentional feeding, since every one of his deaths could have been avoided had he just played his autofilled role.
