support refuses to buy sightstone and proceeds to flame everyone for getting caught

Warding is a team effort ever since the changes to max 3 ward per player. Even if he had a sightstone and used it chances are you still dont help warding, walk around in unwarded territory and get killed. if you get caught, it's no one elses fault but your own.
As someone who mains Support, it is not the job of the Support to ward. Its a team effort. and everyone should be warding. Since i havent seen the match for all we know he was just using his Trinket and probably bought some Pinks as well. But you do seem like the type that feels like Supports should be the only people who ward which is probably why they didnt buy Sightstone. If everyone is using their Trinkets correctly there is basically no reason to get SightStone because then there could be at least 10 Wards out on the field.
All in all its wrong for people to flame, but it also another thing to just assume the only people who need to ward in the game is the Support. Use your trinket, buy pinks.
The thing that caught my eye is that it sounds like vision is the support's job, and it is ONLY on the support to produce vision. While the Support plays a big role in vision. There are some key changes this season that makes it so one person cannot single handedly control vision:
- Max of 3 invisible wards down at a time per person
- Sightstone only has 3 wards
- They die quicker early
- Yellow trinket has 2 charges
- Can not buy pink wards
- Pink wards now cost the same as Green wards used to cost
While yes that support should have gotten sight stone and helped out with vision using it, you should be playing a little safer without proper vision (which will tend towards you not doing well overall since vision is super important). Not pushing farther than you should when your jungle is dark and you don't see where their team is. Face checking bushes. etc.
Finally, he should NOT be flaming people. Constructive criticism is more effective and blatant negativity does nothing but make you think you feel better. It doesn't because it doesn't help, and it doesn't improve their play... thus the frustration causing behavior won't change... meaning you still get frustrated at them.
Contrary to popular belief the support has never been required to buy a sight stone. Also vision is the responsibility of the entire team. Everyone can and should have a pink on the map after their first back and replace it when it is destroyed. On top of that everyone has trinkets and should be using them. The support is right about it being other peoples fault for getting caught if they went into an area alone without vision and die that is on them.
Your support on their own can only have 1 pink and 3 stealth wards on the map at any point in time. And those are likely all going to be focused around bot lane anyway.
No joke ive been blamed for not warding top jungle durring lane phase as support.
Tldr; buy pinks and use your trinkets. Vision is a team effort.

Well only thing wrong is flaming. But if he actually criticized u for getting caught, he was right.
when u have a team fight " in mid lane " and your TM says GG report support No wards i am so sure that You will Rage as a support main i'd RAGE on that team m8 if i could XD [zombie-brand-mindblown]
He should have purchased a sightstone. it's good for vision. You shouldn't have flammed. It has never. helped. anyone. The team should have warded. Link to the game so we can see how many your team dropped. The team should have responded. Either apply more pressure to another lane, or have you abandon bot.
In lowish elo games, I have found that not buying sightstone is better most of the time considering the current state of the support role. Just make sure you are a support like Brand and buy pinks if you decide to go down this very successful path.
Why does the support have to build sightstone?
If everyone on the team is actively using their trinkets they can cover more visual range than a support with sightstone.
The warding lol, I'm guessing is low elo like silver or bronze. Just drop wards on your own? I main jungle and most of my games I drop more wards than my support, is not that hard
I mean, Sightstone offers amazing vision and a decent chunk of heath, and barely costs any gold. I can't think of many reasons for a support NOT to take it. It's not a flashy or fun item, but this is a team game. Refusing to buy a sightstone, to me, indicates that the support isn't a team player and is too focused on individual glory.
