Why are mid laners often giving up penetrating almost 50% of a squishies MR with for garbage mr boots tho?

Because they're retarded? I know you're probably in silver so you may encounter champions whose CC actually gets reduced by tenacity instead of, like, decent champions, but no decent player will pick up merc treads as a mage unless it's for a very specific matchup that has a high kill potential (...)

Their opinion is based off their perspective. I didn't say they were a bad champion, just that silver players are far more likely to encounter champions that aren't part of a standard displacement-heavy lineup (strong champions.) To remove my comment just because I referenced their rank as to the reason of their opinion, without putting them down is, quite honestly, pretty retarded.

Something that's rank shaming would be like,

Your opinion doesn't matter because you're not Diamond 1 99 LP.

Or:

You're silver you have 0 right to discuss balance.

(Though I may agree with the above, it's still rank shaming and I didn't do that.)
