Absolutely never.

Don't ever open a lane just because you think a game is lost. All you're doing is making a possibly recoverable situation worse.

This is a team game. If every lane is lost and the entire team agreed to it. I don't see a problem of opening up a lane instead of waiting for 15 minutes. I've had games where one guy suggested it and the other 4, myself included, agreed to it.

We only have a problem when only 1 or 2 members want to do it.

That's more what I was targeting really, cause usually from what I've seen its only that one guy who wants to open a lane cause he gave up, despite 3-4 other members doing at least decently (but most importantly, still trying)

Its also useful in those cases where nobody dodges or trades with the autofilled support who then locks in cleanse/ghost Nunu and runs around inting. You know very well he isn't going to vote yes at the 15 min vote.

The issue of people opening mid stims from them watching too many high elo people do it IMHO. In challenger someone gets 5 kills in 8 minutes? yeah you will probably lose. but in low-mid elo? people fuck up literally every game. Any lead can be lost, and any defecit can be filled in if you try.

Had to explain this to a low silver friend of mine over a year ago. If you're sitting at lets say, a 50% winrate in ranked, and you're not climbing. Then you suddenly decide hey, i will not give up anymore games. If you suddenly start winning 2 games out of every 10 you would have surrendered. you're now suddenly climbing in ranked.

Lol yeah. I try to keep teams going all the time in my ELO usually by saying "guys, they're only silver, silvers throw games all the time".

Silver players (myself included) often don't know how to close games quickly when they're ahead. Instead, they run around looking for stragglers to single out and kill. They aren't objective oriented and the game is all about objectives. Unfortunately, my team is also silver and doesn't understand to group and not let them keep picking us off one by one.
