I remember years ago people would claim that it was a reportable offense to ask people to honor you.
Would it be against the rules for me to merely remind people in chat that there is such a thing as a team honor bonus, and they should all remember to honor someone?
Most people don't realize it exists. I only just recently learned of it.

Not true. I never knew what that text meant until recently. Now that I know I make sure to honor someone every game. In some cases it's just whoever was the least troll/toxic.

I don't think think a quick "Remember to honor someone" would be a problem

Begging for honors is a nice way to tell people that you dont deserve to get honored.
People honoring everyone cuz they have to grind honor is a good sigh that system is being abused atm or does not work at all. Cuz i doubt that this is how its supposed to work.

There are honestly only a scant few people out there who would take it that way. It's much easier to take it positively, or at the very least neutrally. Responses like "Oh, yeah, we can go up in Honor faster with that team bonus, cool", or "Eh, sure I guess, we'll see" are much more likely than a response like your example, where it's taken as a grievous insult.

Except they're not begging for Honors. In case you didn't read the post, the OP was asking about giving a kind an unobtrusive reminder that the Team Honor Bonus exists - they wouldn't ask for people to Honor them in specific, they just want players to Honor each other for the team's benefit overall.

There's no way for the Honor System to be abused right now, and it's working perfectly fine. Believe it or not, Riot wants players to Honor one another. That's the whole purpose of the Team Honor Bonus and the big Honor Ceremony pop-up post-match - to get players to Honor one another.

They fucking aaare. Literally. Just because they aint asking to honor themselfs it does not change the fact that they begging for free shit. Its the same thing. You ask people to give you that bonus for honoring everyone. If people deserved to get honored they would get honored. Its really hard to forget to do it. And if you did it just means how much you do not want to honor anyone. Why should i compliment/commend/honor someone if i dont think that they deserve it?

Its exactly about grinding honors. Everyone honor someone - people get more honor. And thats what OP wants. How is that not about grinding?

Yea except its even more useless than it were but now actually disgusting. Honor people cuz you think you will get something out of it instead of actually complimenting someone who did well. Thats totally how it should work.
