Can we actually start punishing trolls/afkers/soft inters?

This is something that has been bothering me for a while now. Why is it that in my high elo games, (d1 - master tier) there are several instances where i report a player who is intentionally trolling / feeding a game and they are not punished. other people in the game i assume report them as well, but still nothing results of it. but yet someone who flames that person would be the one punished. can riot please address this problem even a little bit? it makes no sense to crack down that hard on people who are toxic, when there is a mute button in the game for a very good reason. however the isnt an option to remove a troll from a game, youre stuck with that person on your team that completely ruins the game experience for others. this system is flawed and something had ought to be done about it, i cant even tell you how many people ive reported for trolling/inting/afking that havent been punished for it. this is getting absurd and anyone with any common sense at all would agree with what ive said here.

Troll do occasionally get banned.

Behaving poorly in chat = bannable

Trolling = also bannable

The major difference between the two is how easy it is to detect and catch. Poor behavior in chat is in control of the player 100% of the time. Trolling often involves making poor decisions in the game intentionally rather than accidentally. Making a poor game decision accidentally is not against the rules, so Riot needs to detect intent within reasonable doubt so as to avoid banning someone incorrectly.

While it seems that detecting a troll is easy, that observation is made from the perspective of a human looking directly at a single game. There are millions of games played per day, manual reviews by a human can only go so far. Many cases of trolling are going to slip by. Manual reviews are likely restricted to those that are constantly reported across many games but are continuously cleared by the automated system..

Computers simply don't have the capability to accurately judge many trolling cases and there are not enough employees by a long shot to be able to review every single report on a possible troll.

IF and I say IF , riot actually gave a fuck about us and ACTUALLY punished afkers/inters/softinters/wintraders , the overall toxicity of the game would drastically go down .

My own in game toxicity towards these trolls is lit by the fact that I know for a fact that reporting them will NOT do anything . because riot only cares about chatlogs and inters will never get banned .

And guess who gets chat restricted ? the guy that has had enough being inted and trolled and lashes out

Troll is a very vague label and a lot of the time people cry troll over things that aren't. There's also a few passive aggressive players that can get offmetas or their teammates killed more often in a game and ask to solicit reports on them. It isn't always the dead player behind their deaths (rampant, unchecked invasions / no warding supports / etc.).

It really comes down to intent.

You don't get notifications for afk punishments.

Trolling/Inting usually require a manual review, which takes time to eventually get to because of false reported.

To handle inting and trolls one of two things would need to happen.

.1. A better detection system to be made that can accurately identify said players and actions. System must be able to distinguish between intention/troll play and simple bad play.

.2. More staff for more manual reviews. Which is fiscally impossible for long term.

They are trying but I can't really tell how hard they are trying.

I feel like they need to hire more people to get this done faster because trolls ruin games for so many people.

I don't have knowledge on Riot's troll review system, but if I were on Riot's player behavior team, I would initiate a manual review system of reported games and non reported games for players who are flagged as trollers and inters because you need to have a base line comparison of their games where they're actually trying vs where people think they're trolling because there's gotta be a difference in behavior. If they repeat the same behavior in every game, that's bad players. If they only do it in games they are tilted in, then it's trolling. Wham bam troll gets a ban.

However, this also means more resources need to be spent on the player behavior department, which I'm not sure if Riot or Tencent is willing to do.

I had people who were inting because THEY DIED(not talking about bronze silver). I am talking about plat 3+ elo. Its sad that you have to deal with him till the end of the game (20-40 min depending on if this idiots votes yes or no on the surrender vote). And he will most likely not get banned. BUT If someone says to this guy that he is retarded for inting for such a stupid reason BOOOM INSTANT BAN. The guy literally said ''Fuck you I'm inting'' . And still hasn't been banned till today. There was a guy that wanted to test how many games will it take to get banned only by inting without saying a word in chat. He was streaming the whole process. It took him like 30-40 games..... .

No warding supports literally don't have their item until like 22 minutes. One idiot refused to buy the upgrade for nearly five minutes despite having plenty of gold, so yes these people exist in ranked for some reason.
