So Sick of This Toxic, Lying Community Getting Away with Murder

My last game the Yasuo flamed me the entire game because I didn't gank for him pre six as Evelynn. I don't think he understands new Evelynn and how her ganks are not as good as they used to be. You are the one that fed 1/6/? the entire game and allowed Ziggs to harass you. I was actually playing good. This is all besides the point though. What ended up happening is that I told the enemy team that the Yasuo is insulting me the entire game and blaming me . . . when he fed the entire game. Yasuo goes into all chat, after he has insulted me the entire game and blamed me for losing his lane, telling the enemy team that I said he was bad and I called him the N word. That word is not even in my vocabulary and it never will be.

I've been playing since season 2 on and off. I have seen a lot and I have been through a lot with this game. I have rarely encountered this type of behavior over the years . . . but the last year and a half I am noticing players get really nasty. This is all thanks to trolls and rude players like Tyler1, Kacytron and others being allowed to represent this game in a way that promotes toxicity. It seems like Riot is allowing these players to get away with murder. It happened to one of my friends recently as well. He was playing a game and almost the same situation. The flamer on his team accused him of saying homophobic slurs in all chat. These are players purposely trying to ruin the reputation of others and make people out to be something they are not. I am far from racist and my friend is far from homophobic. What do these players getting away with insinuating we are racist and homophobic considered? Innocent players in Riot's eyes because it takes multiple reports and select instances for these players to get caught. If at all.

The Tribunal needs to come back and in cases of racism and hate reports, they need to be looked at and a ban needs to be in place. It's one thing to be petty and say someone sucks at the game. It's another thing entirely to insinuate that someone is racist or homophobic in a pathetic attempt at getting them banned for something they are not.

I'm sorry you had someone as bad as that Yas in the game but why talk back to him? Why not just mute and report him afterwards? Why /all and complain to the enemy team about him? Surely you knew that would add more fuel to his fire.

Tyler1, Kaceytron and other streamers have absolutely nothing to do with toxicity in the game...people get frustrated with any game and whether they chose to take it out on other players well...that's up to them not on famous streamers.

I suggest next time instead of replying back to a toxic or complaining Yas or any teammate just mute them or ignore them and carry on with your game. You aren't going to change their mind by talking back to them and definitely not by telling the enemy team what a bad person they are by saying they are insulting you.

It's important to note that you can never be punished for what you don't say. If you never used the n word, then you won't be punished for it.

It's also INCREDIBLY important to know that you don't need to call for reports. One report is all it takes for the system to conduct a review. If you reported the Yasuo, that is more than enough.

In addition, I highly, highly recommend using the mute feature. When someone is harassing you, mute them, report them, and move on.

The Instant-feedback system is super quick and strict on hate speech. Seriously, take a quick look at the PB forums today, and see the wide array of people being banned for racial slurs, hate speech, etc. in the past 24 hours. And that's only people who post on the forums.

No. It takes one report to get a game reviewed, and accusing other players of anything is considered a negative and combative attitude. While they may not be punished for one game, they will be punished over time. Note that you will not always get a notification when someone you've reported is punished, that is dependent on many factors.

The Tribunal needs to come back and in cases of racism and hate reports, they need to be looked at and a ban needs to be in place.

Racist slurs, hate speech, etc. are immediately punished with a 14 day suspension after one occurrence in one game. The next offense is an immediate permanent suspension. However, insinuating that someone else is racist is not in and of itself "extreme toxicity" - it is toxic, but not extremely so. People being assholes to you does not make it "extreme toxicity" that warrants skipping of the same punishment tiers you yourself would go through if you were toxic/punished.

It only takes a single report for the IFS to review a person's game.

Asking for reports is asking for yourself to be punished.

If you don't do anything wrong, then being reported does nothing.

Unless you're in the top 10% of all players, you're unlikely to play multiple games with the same people, so having a 'ruined reputation' doesn't mean anything. And if you played with people often enough to have a 'reputation', then they'd know how you act from personal experience, so baseless accusations would still mean nothing.

Report the people flaming you. It works.

False reports get thrown out, so even if a player accuses you of something and you get reported, Riot will check and see that you didn't say it, and then they will throw out the reports for that game.

Additionally, you can report them for harassing you, as framing someone and lobbying for reports against them is considered toxic and ban-worth.
