Why does Riot empower trolls?
Why does Riot empower trolls? Why is it when someone outright admits to trolling, that if you say any "mean" words to them you are banned instead of them? Would you arrest someone from defending themselves from a mugger? Why is it that despite there being a mute function, chat infractions seem to be very more of a focus when it comes to moderation as opposed to game play? Shouldn't it be the opposite? Shouldn't moderation be focused on the people who go out of their way to cause tilting and toxic behavior as opposed to the victims as a result?
I had a game as ADC where my support didn't want to be support, so she decided to troll. As early as level one she started to take farm, and when I very politely asked "PLEASE stop pooling" she then proceeded to walk right into the enemy and give FB. Did I shit talk her at that point? No all I said was "You're starting to tilt me" and what was her response? "Good" Despite the fact I had nothing against her. So at that point it was clear that was a dead lane, so I decided to remove myself from the situation and go to another lane, but of course my team started to attack me and not my support because now it was inconveniencing them and barraged me with insults (to which I obviously gave back in kind at this point.)
Was that Morg banned for trolling? No. Was my team banned for taking the side of said troll? No. But I was.
If that support didn't decide to troll because they didn't get the role they wanted, I wouldn't have been forced into the position I was in. Yet I was punished and she was not. Where's the justice in that? **Why does Riot reward trolls for being able to successfully push people's buttons? **
