2016 and still no system for dealing with leavers at the start of the match

Dota2 has a system in place since fucking beta, and we got nothing? I've lost over 250 LP this season from having someone be afk from the start of the match, it's a joke.

I definitely would like to have games thrown out when someone doesn't connect, but you can't directly compare features in a fishbowl like that. I don't think anyone disputes that it is a good feature. That doesn't mean we don't have other things that are more impactful in its place. You can't just sit and be like DOTA has X and I like it so league failed for not having it. We have tons of features dota doesn't. AFKs aren't that common and have minimal impact on your rank. You were going to lose about half of those games anyway and you can't just add up the LP lost from them over time, ranks just don't work like that. When you lose your rank goes down and your successive games will be that much easier if you didn't magically get worse at the game. AFK's also happen on both sides.

Go play Dota if u like it so much. We have system in place, if u have leaver u lose LP, if opponents have leave u gain LP.

So what exactly do you want them to do? Dont ask for something to change and not even give some type of way to improve it. Loads of people have asked for something like this, but all that have been recommended has some way of being abused. They obviously cannot use the same exact feature as DOTA 2 uses or else they could get sued for copyright infringement.

If they are using the same type of programs that another company is using yes they can get sued. So the best thing they can do is make it from scratch, which can takes years to make let alone the bug/glitch testing would require for something like this to implement.

If you've lost 250 LP this season from leavers, then you've probably also gained more than 300 from them as well, since (if you never leave games) leavers are statistically 25% more likely to be on the enemy team than your own.
