Asking "Why?" when people mess up will get you no where.

This is just a short rant I want to put out there. So yeah bear with me if you are reading this.

Say you're in the middle of any game, for the sake of argument say that you are running.... Poppy top against aRiven. Now for sake of argument and also not considering how this match typically goes, let's say 10 minutes in you feed 2 kills. Your team mates are probably gonna be annoyed if you heroic charge Riven into the tower for the third time, take some tower shots, and give her a kill because she managed to get 1 auto off on you before you died. This is the part where you see this in chat.

(take note that these are random fake usernames I made up) yourmomsballs: omg why SaltyPlayer69: why poppy? [all]RivenDerp: haha u suck yourmomsballs: omg why [all] SaltyPlayer69: ikr yourmomsballs: omg why yourmomsballs: omg why yourmomsballs: omg why???????

"Why?" The question I feel has no real answer when asked in chat. Because there is no answer that is going to make someone happy once it is asked. The person is already on tilt, and is so mad that they don't see on of 2 (or 3) obvious answers.

1-The person took the action they did, because they thought it would be of benefit to the game. 2-They are trolling. **3-Maybe they are having connection issues, who knows.

If the person is just waltzing under the tower or standing still in lane and letting themselves get autoed, it's probobly option 2 or 3 I presented. So when it comes down to option 1, what are we getting when we shout out "why" in chat? Nine times out of then regardless of the answer given, the players next action is likely to just go and complain in all chat about how their team mates are feeding. In their eyes, your already the bad guy under option 1, when the move you made to genuinely try to influence the game in a positive way fails. So my question to ask then, is why bother. A Tryndamere popping his ult too soon, or Nami healing you and accidentally stealing the kill, or a Soraka ulting for heal a half a second too late while trying to time it to get the bonus heal, are if nothing else, an honest attempt to play the game well.

A variation of this situation I find rather funny, is when someone asks.... "why did you feed?"

Yes yes, they phrase the question immediately assuming the feeding was intentional. As if the person was about to admit to trolling as to provide further evidence for a tribunal review. They only other possible answer to give to this (which I've sarcastically stated a few times in chat.) "Yes, you see I have a plan. I'm trying to discover a secret reverse scaling passive with Morgana. My theory is that if you give her 5 kills in the 1st ten minutes, she will actually start to loose ap by lategame. It's a secret passive that they snuck in with the 5.22 patch to further nerf mages into the ground. Trust me this is a legitimate strategy I am trying."

Recently had a game where I went Gnar top against a Yasuo. This was my 3rd game as Gnar and it was when Warlord's still worked on minions. I in general have had a hard time dodging Yasuo tornadoes consistently. I understand it's a lined skillshot but for some reason it's one of those that I can't seem to dodge well. I die to Yasuo twice in lane, he snowballs off of it and gets my turret because turrets are worthless right now.

Our Graves decides to ask me "why are you having issues?" to which I explain that 1) Yasuo is (was) pretty broken right now. 2) I was new to Gnar and still getting used to playing him in general 3) I have pretty much always had issues dodging the tornado. None of these issues relate to each other, they're just 3 separate reasons why I'm having a hard time in lane. Graves then goes "being new to a champ shouldn't be why you can't dodge. you're just bad" which, maybe I am bad for not being able to dodge the tornado, but I didn't imply the reasons were connected. So the rest of the game Graves keeps asking why and things like that.

Needless to say all it did was piss me off and I tilted pretty hard. But the Graves in general wasn't helping anything.
