Playing off-meta is not allow and can be banned?

When a player is good at a role, shouldn't that he or she is allow to do what they do best instead of being force or chained to a role that they are not really good at? If a person who is a very good at jungling since the early days of League but was force down to play a role that he/she not familiar with which might ended promoting negative experience to the team. In the end that player might ended up being reported. Even professional players also play off-meta roles in order to push the boundaries and creating new experiences to the game, rather than being forced to play current/old meta. Just like back then when Miss Fortune can suddenly become a support hence playing off-meta as she is an ADC role, but why that is not an issue in the 1st time?

It is not bannable. What is bannable is saying how you're going ot play and then forcing your team to adapt. We don't care that you gave paragraphs of info, we aren't able to play the way you expect us to, and you're clearly going ot troll if we don't let you have your way.

So no. It's not bannable. Just don't troll.

If you play it often enough and your teammates do not like it, then yes it is bannable.

I like what someone else pointed out in another thread: going off meta is fine, just don't force a teammate to go off meta to accommodate you going off meta.

Most of the time this happens without us thinking about it. If your Mid picks AP Ezreal you don't have to change how you play Top/Jungle/Bot/Support because of it. A different champion may work better for the team to make up for the lack of CC, but you still go to your lane and play it out like normal.

In the recent cases, the counter jungling support has basically forced their ADC to play the lane Solo, which isn't meta for them. Some players were fine with that, and able to adapt their picks and play style accordingly. Others were not OK with having to change their pick and play style to accommodate, which is where problems occurred.

Let's say it one more time with feeling. He didn't get punished for going off meta. He got punished for refusing to cooperate with team mates.
