Can you get perma banned for a first offense?

Not sure if this is in the right thread or not. Just curious I have a feeling I might get banned soon. I have always had an issue with people accusing me of doing something I didn't do or being dicks to me for no reason. So in some games where people where toxic with me I have afk'd fed or gotten toxic with the people who where being a-holes. I feel like I may have done this for more than 5 games in the past 6 months. From now on I'm just going to mute these people, I just don't want to get permabanned, if I get a 3 day-week ban I'm fine with that and understand that I deserve that, but given that I've had honor badges for most of my playing time I don't think I deserve a permaban.

They have been known to jump straight to permabans in very extreme circumstances. Think things like substantial personal threats.

Sounds like your behavior was more typical of an average toxic player in those few games so I would doubt you'd jump straight to a permaban. Heck, with it only having been a few times over 6 months or so, you may never see a punishment anyhow. The punishments for this sort of behavior are for people who are regularly problematic. Even so, best to be safe and I'm glad to hear you're looking to correct those few instances of negativity.

Yeah I'm only toxic when someone is toxic to me.

Well, that's something to be slightly concerned about. Riot's policy (for the last 4 or so years) has been that retaliation is forbidden. If someone is being toxic to you, Mute (by typing "/mute playername" or pressing tab and clicking the speech bubble next to that player), report (at the end of the game with the exclamation mark next to their name. Remember that you don't need other people to report. Riot cares about games reported not number of reports) and enjoy your next game.

And also, if you do somehow find yourself permabanned, it may not be behaviorally related. I saw dozens to maybe even hundreds of people asking about chargeback bans or inappropriate name bans (Which is to say, they were not aware what they had been banned for, because Riot sent out a "year" code without explanations) on the old forums, which can be resolved and overturned in under a week.

Well im just going to start out saying that generally punishments are given within minutes after a game, so you should be fine. Also, if you stop doing that stuff, you will be fine, since you havnt been banned yet, you can defidently improve!

Like the others said, it's hypothetically possible to get banned off one game, but it takes extreme toxicity for it to happen.

Yes, it Can happen but only in extreme circumstances like AJS stated. Thanks btw, I checked the time on this thread 3 times because I swear I saw one almost exactly like it in the last 2 days. Just Not form you OP :)

Still, take care about being toxic back because that will eventually land you in trouble, please just mute and report after game. Remember, just because someone says something you don't like it Does Not make you look bad if you say nothing back. In fact, it will help you get into less arguments and really if your not typing back you'll play better :)
