Whats up with the harsh ban lengths?

I just got a 15-day suspension for one game. I have had no previous experience with chat-restrictions, and or bans yet this is the game I get a 15 day suspension on- no chat restric- no nothing just 15 day ban. I assume more than one person reported me? Also, holy shit im cringing looking back at some of the shit I said lol. Aside from that, my friend was talking just the same as me and suffered no ban, and or restriction so I feel a bit unfairly punished here. I was under the assumption everyone was fine except for the Jayce.

This is what I said, I mean, I guess the autistic comment? But, mainly everyone but the Jayce on my team took it in a joking manner. I guess I was reported by more than one player? But, I have a spotless reputation, and this game wasn't even one of my worst in what i've said. So, i'm kinda really confused on what the fuck is happening?

Hate speech has no place in League of Legends. Riot has a zero tolerance policy towards it, and punishes it aggressively.

One report does exactly the same as 9000 reports. All a report does is flag the game for review. If a game is flagged for review, the IFS reviews it.

It's probably to do with your usage of the word <removed by moderation> (ignore the accent, the boards has a chat filter on words like that). So if someone were to report you and the system sees that you've used the word in a derogatory manner (not that I'm saying you have), it will instantly ban you for 14 days.

I'm guessing you were talking to one of your friends in the chat. So maybe someone thought you were being insulting and reported you.

When you post with the description "2-week ban, no prior warnings" or something similar to this, most often, and as is the case here, you used hate speech or threats to harm oneself (kys). Clearly you used hate speech, but there are multiple areas of your logs that are punishment worthy. Almost none of your chat focuses on the game, most of it involves sex references, berating other players, telling others to ff, then getting mad when they don't ff, and referencing autism.

After coming off a 2-week ban, your next punishment is a permanent ban. That's not for using hate speech, that's for anything that's punishable.

Here's the thing, using hate speech as a joke with your friend still affects the other 8 people in the game.

Nobody wants to have to endure usage of terms created specifically to attack them for just being who they are. The playerbase prefers to be able to log on and enjoy a game without having to see that sort of ugliness.

Knowing that, you can understand a bit better why hate speech has no place here.
