Lost 37 lp and 5 match 20 min wait because of a bug from riot.

Hello, I would like to take this issue to the public as the riot support members obviously said something like "I understand your frustration but bla bla bla". So let's begin, I was in a game where I was lagging hard, so I told my team that I was going to exit the game and get back in to attempt to fix my connection.(game was about 19:00 minute mark). At a moment when I quit the game, the client bugged, and I saw "Skip waiting for stats" button, so I assumed that someone surrendered and the game was over. However as I hovered to my profiles page, I noticed that my lp has not changed at all, so I got confused especially since the game was still close. That is when I went to op.gg and it told me that I am still in the game, WHILE I was in the league client and could start another game. After about 5 minutes of trying to get a livechat with riot support, I gave up and tried to quit the client and back again. And it worked. I got back to the game and my team was behind but everyone welcomed me back. After I made an amazing play in where we picked off their most fed person and aced them 2 minutes later in baron which resulted to us winning the game. When the game was finished I saw that I got the defeat, lost 17 lp and got a waiting punishment. So basically I lost 37 lp (if I won I usually have +20lp). For someone with a 50%ish win rate this is very big. RIot support did not want anything to do with this and I am here still being treated like a criminal with riot's fault because their client bugged hard. To be honest it is very possible that riot support just read the first line of my issue and nothing else and just came to the conclusion. If this stands it means that if this happens again, I basically do not have to go back to the game and let the team lose a 4v5 since I am getting the same punishment anyway, it will just be more time wasted. Please let me know if in some way I am biased or mistaken. I would definitely like to discuss anything that is wrong with this issue. Thanks.
