Educating Riot Employees: Bad Game vs Trolling/Cheating Part 1

Troll Armada··2 votes·756 views

4 trolls cheaters botter sit at the mid turret and ping spam and yell in chat to group and defend base.

There are 2 (TWO) enemy champs pushing mid.

this is not a 'bad game' these people are trolls/cheaters.

You can use something called LOGICAL REASONING, and ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAME in order to figure this out.

you're welcome

Did you know? Riot doesn't have the man power to manually watch every single game where someone reports another player for cheating/botting/scripting/etc.

I'm glad you brought this up! I logged back in just to answer you.

This is why we need certain players to be designated Elite Reporters / Watchers...and this needs to be done manually. Riot could form a Committee of Experts in order to designate these special summoners who will roam the rift secretly reporting back to Riot. Which will the begin the instaban process.

Yeah, give that much power to players... Nobody will abuse it...

Their only power is to get riot departments attention.... how would it be abused?

Even then, it's still not really feasible. They'd have to hire so many people to watch through EVERY SECOND OF EVERY GAME that has someone who is reported for cheating/botting/scripting/etc. Well, sure maybe they could stop watching a game once they determine that the reported player is cheating, but I'd be willing to bet that there are a lot of players falsely reporting another player for cheating, and all the false reports would cause a lot of wasted time for these people.

I'm sorry, but something like this just isn't feasible.

so in other words, because the task is large, there is no department at all... gotcha

Yeah, I really don't think you understand just how large this task would be.

I think that a small team can have a much larger influence, outside of just those banned....

It's maybe old, but the numbers should be alright.

-->26 million players who play 1 game per day would be at least 2,6 million games per day. If only 1 % of the games get a report for trolling, that would be 26000 games to review. 35 minutes per game would be like 910000 minutes to watch per day. That would be 15166 hours of game play. If a Riot employee works for 8 hours a day, that would be 1895 Rioters that are needed to observe the whole amount of footage that come across per day.

Even if they get filtered by some "elite reporter" (lol) ... that amount of people Riot had to hire is just absurd ...

Exactly. Because for one: It wouldn't really make people afraid of the system, because it would work slow as hell. It would have a probably even larger backlog than Tribunal had. And given just how inefficient this "solution" would be, there are a plenty of better ways of using the resources you'd have to put into this.

If they want to fix the problem of botters/scripters/etc., I prefer them working on actual solutions, rather than just feeding ressources into an inefficient "at least we're doing something"-system to calm the masses.

People would do it for free, just like the old TDA days

It should be kept secret though. As soon as it gets out that this is a thing, the next hack will be a super positive happy bot running around trying to get invited....

They are trolls AND botters? What the hell are you even saying? They programmed a bot to troll you?

What is it you want to know exactly?

You can run 1, 2, 3 even 4 accounts from 1 cheater application.

Oh it's you... never mind. Pretend I just ignored your post.

I get it, ending cheating, means you will have to play for real.

Logic. You should try it sometime. Judging by the faux-outrage on this thread, I must have hit a nerve.

So logic dictates all cheater programs can run multiple accounts?
