I decided to play a few ranked games a little while ago, and the difference in player behavior was... interesting to say the least. Nearly every single game people on my team were verbally attacking each other, while people on the enemy team would type things like "G f******g G" or "yall suck LOL" every time they won a 5v5. Why are people's attitudes so much more different from that of people who are playing in normal games?
Ranked is competitive that's all you need to know people get emotional over ranked, So do I. If you don't like that environment just do /mute all (this will also mute pings you can unmute the pings if you want) or play normals.
Ranked is literally a flame fest every game. That will never change.
Because people are there to win and many people, especially people who get most of their social interaction on video games from behind a computer screen, aren't good about holding their emotions in check and only being frustrated IRL instead of spewing verbal diarrhea in to /all.
Combine the two and you've got a perfect storm of nonsense.
In Normals, people are there to fuck around for the most part. You have the competitive progression system that people want to climb removed from the picture, and so people are much MUCH less likely to care if they win or lose as long as the match was at least fun to play.
Ego and frustration.
I tried to play a ranked match just now. preselected my champ before bans. my top laner banned my champ. then starts talking smack about it. then instalocks yummi top lane. I dont want to play with trolls. Im trying to take things seriously and I cant climb when no one else cares. and when i dodge those types of games, Im the one that gets punished. not the morons who were purposely fucking up the game.
Ur rank depends on how ur team perform, when someone is inting is normal to be flamed coz he ruin everyones experience/rank etc, loosing lane is ok, but some ppl even try 1 v 1 even when their 2 lvl behind and have no change to win that trade, League is most toxic game coz ur rank mostly depends on ur team, ur just 1 of 10 players in every game, even if u win ur lane, u just did a small part to win that game unless ur smurfing and ur able to 1 v 5 quite often untill u reach a high rank then ur at ur team mercy again. Thats ranked nowadays, roll the dice to get a good team.
