Calling "BG" apparently gets you reported, even if the game was impossibly one-sided
Stomps are not "GG", asshats.
Stomps are "BG".
Get that through your dumb skulls.

Most people see "gg" as the verbal equivalent of a handshake. The corrolary would be that "bg" is the open refusal of a handshake. Just like in sports, refusing to shake hands is considered unsportsmanlike to some degree. That said, I doubt you'll receive any punishment for something that mild; especially considering that just like when people say "gg" in stomps, it's pretty obvious that the person's intent wasn't to offend.
tl;dr: "gg" and "bg" have literal and figurative meanings. People report when they're upset that you used the "wrong" one.
I understand the situations on both sides for GG and BG. I wouldn't ever report some one on either side if they said BG (Seems...a bit to much imo) but I wouldn't say it myself. The only time I actually understand some one saying BG is if they had an AFK or some one is excessively trolling and both sides are well aware of it, obviously to that person it would be a BG since it was at a disadvantage since it was 4v5 etc. In every other case, I don't see why you wouldn't just say GG, even if it was a stomp.
Not having the same traditions or feeling the same way about something is fine, but saying bg can come across like spitting on the tradition. Again that is your choice, but someone choosing to report for it is also theirs. It's probably healthier to just accept its a difference of opinion and move on.
You could save yourself so many problems by NOT typing "BG" and just moving on to the next game. Apparently you cannot help yourself.
From the rest of what you said, I have a feeling you where reproted for other toxicity, not just saying "BG".
"GG" or "GG WP" are sportsmanship phrases, so before you call people dumb, you should try thinking about the origin of the terms (sports and handshakes after a match). It is simply out of respect for the other players.
Calm down, consider the origin of the term, try to understand that it is not about the match being a good one, but that you are virtually shaking hands with the other players and thanking them for a match out of respect for them.
You're probably really really toxic. The ban was well deserved.
