Wondering if the "dude I'm lagging lol" griefers ever get punished

I would say the worst type of griefing bitch of them all that seems to skip by are the ones that will spam their high ping constantly, intentionally feeding, and laughingly exclaim to you they are lagging. They tend to also claim they will "reset" and come back five minutes later or not at all or go back and forth disconnecting and reconnecting.

I'm wondering if you report these people, despite their claims in chat to try to avoid punishment, will they be punished?

How would you prefer somebody handle their lag?

bad internet is not punishable.

But intentionally feeding under the pretense they are lagging will be. Riot can already see all the ms in game, so it really depends on what the truth is.

I mean, by definition, dying because of shite internet isn't intentional inting, so therefore, isn't punishable.

BUUUUUT

Riot DOES keep track of how high your ping actually is in order to determine wether or not its intentional. kek, just 2 days ago I even found out they track AFK rates PER CHAMP

Whether their lag is real or not my understanding is that it is punishable. You are obligated to have some form of decent connection to be able to play the game in a reasonable manner. Report and move on.
