I come here for therapy, usually after a series of trolled games, and Ween I see all of these troll tears

I brighten up and realize Riot really is doing something about these total creep-a-zoids who ruin the game for everyone else.

...and while they don't take my own reports seriously, because of having to submit so many, somewhere out there for some summoner, the scales of justice have been balanced.

I have been reported for verbal harassment when I haven't said a word and communicated only with map pings. Reporting should be removed completely and instead... replace it with a small army of moderators who randomly spectate games. Sure it might cost money to hire people to do this, but riot is making enough money... and the playerbase simply can't be trusted to police itself.

That's actually not entirely true. Many people have been banned for verbal abuse without saying a word in pre/post chat or during the game. Mainly cause the trolls know that the automated system is more likely to punish/look at someone who has been reported for it.
