Just a food for thought, since we've all reported someone before and have felt like it has done nothing. I just want to know what actually happens after I hit submit, step by step would be nice if possible. Maybe it could give me some greater insight on to what to actually report and when it is appropriate to report someone in the post game lobby. Just so I could feel like I'm actually making a difference for the league community. :)

SrbLud1 votesYour report will be taken into notice and that game will be taken into review when he gets picked up. If your report is after a game that prompts the review you'll get a notification if he got punished. If it's a couple of games down the line you get no notifications at all. If you submit a false report it will also be taken into account and your future reports might weigh less. The reason they wait for multiple reviews is the benefit of the doubt. If it's a one off he might get scot free ( people have bad days and riot understands ). If he gets reported in a pattern or constantly he will get picked up faster.

if the reported player meets any of their criteria for those categories, the account gets a strike on it. if they get 3 strikes in the next 15 or so games, the account is punished. first offense = 10 game chat restriction, then 25, then 2 week account ban, and finally permanent ban. if the behavior is deemed more severe by the system, punishment steps may be skipped.
if the reported player meets none of their criteria, your account gets flagged as a false reporter. as a false reporter your report alone will no longer be enough to trigger the program to review the player.

i quited league for more than 5 months and i'm still waiting for a rioter to confirm to me that league is safe to play but they only keep quiet.....
Accept it guys people expect you to play like a platinum this days so it dose not matter if you even reached gold, i shall forever be a unranked cause sadly if i show even my bronze banner i'm just gonna get unwanted enemies....

elduris1 votesNot sure where you got your information, but for the sake of discussion, high Elo players do not control who gets banned. Riot has complete control over who gets banned.
As for whether League is "safe to play", I'd imagine it's about as safe as any other place on the internet. Sadly, you'll always run into people who want to make you upset. Just a matter of changing your mindset and not letting it get to you.

Hi I suck and I'm silver 3... I've never been punished but I'm sure people have reported me and I don't play like a platinum that's for sure. What was your point?
Metalhead71 votesmy point is that ragers and this smurfers are getting away with penalizing people who are trying, i swear to you that i have never played ranked since season 2 cause of this fear being in bronze and showing your bronze banner will get you attention and unwanted enemies, heck people like to see low elo players matches just so they can post it on the internet, the purpose is witch hunt this player why you ask? cause we don't want his skill level in this he's trash and is what the community says so.
I have been in this game since season 2 and sadly is no longer the same, if you don't want to believe me then don't believe me i have been on the verge is getting unwanted permanently Banned by multiple people witch hunting me, to the point that even normal's for me are no longer safe to play, even if i mute a harasser its still the same they can get away with it.
I'm not a feeder or someone who dose not understand the game mechanics cause i do know how to play but sadly my skill is not enough, i'm bronze 5 material i admit it but for the sake of me not getting unwanted attention i stay out of rankes, People nowadays Rage so hard just to see the Defeat popping up in there screens its insane.
I'l be frank about this matter people use many different websites for witch hunt not only this forum or reddit they use other stuff and have successfully perma banned many players riot of course dose not speak of the matter.
As long as i don't receive something from a rioter i shall not play league ever again, you getting perma banned by someone else cause you suck in a match says it all.
the community is nothing more than to get revenge for the idiot who screw your game and hope he gets perma banned that is the true league community and nothing will stop me from telling the truth, again If any rioter is reading then please confirm me other wise that this is a blasphemy....

Stop caring about what people say man. You really are insecure. I suck but I'm okay with it.. knowing that it's just a video game. It doesn't matter if you're Plat, diamond, whatever elo. It's just a game. It's not "I'm doing good in league, and therefore doing good in life" ... it's just a game! Stop caring what other people think so much and ignore the trolls who talk shit. Think about how pathetic it is for them to make fun of you for your skill level in a video game. It makes no difference! It's just a game!!
