Different ways to punish (In between bans)

Okay, so if I'm not mistaken punishment for toxicity is dished out accordingly (based on what the person is doing)

But I had an idea that may be bad and good at the same time. What if Riot started demoting people for being extremely toxic and aggressive in ranked.

Say I go into a ranked game and start tearing my team mates a new rectum, at the end of the game if I get enough reports and a chat ban is warranted, I lose all lp for that division. If it happens again I'm busted down a division. And if it keeps happening you're taken down to the lowest of your division.

An example would be like this:

I have 70Lp in silver 2. I get reported and chat banned for being a douche pickle, I now have 0 LP in silver 2.

It happens again, now I'm chat banned and I'm demoted to silver 3 at 0 LP.

It happens yet again, Now I'm silver 5 with 0 LP.

This may seem extremely harsh, but I think the punishment fits the crime. If you're going to ruin someone else's ranked experience by being an idiot and extremely toxic, then you should have your rank pulled, just like in the military.

Then people who are in bronze because of skill and not toxicity will have very bad time.

Pretty sure all that accomplishes is making Bronze/Silver the most hellish place imaginable.

The only flaw is that ppl at bronze V 0 lp will continue to be as toxic as they have been and this feature doesn't affect them, unless the chat restriction is still in place regardless.

How about introduce ranked bans again?

so .. bronze will be toxic hell?

also .. do I get promoted instead for being positive? my skill as hell doesn't bring me to silvers thats for sure.

It would push the most toxic people down towards the bottom, making being there worse for everyone there whether they are toxic themselves or not, and it also would have no effect on people that don't care about their Rank dropping or even promote negative behavior for those that want to drop.

Simply moving from chat restrictions to bans seems good enough to me. If a permaban seems to harsh, I'd propose simply adding more temporary ban tiers in.

Eh, I agree. You shouldn't get special treatment for being an extreme douchecanoe.
