DrCyanide4 votesDisconnecting is hardly the most toxic thing in online gaming. Intentional feeding, trolling, telling the enemy where your team is, and straight up ignoring the point of the game and AFK farming are way worse.

They can't 100% prove those things and I agree those are toxic too but they can prove frequent dc's and do very little to curb that behavior.
Comparing that to toxic chat which is the other thing they can 100% prove, frequent dc's are the most toxic thing in online gaming and they slap offenders on the wrist for it.

You also have no idea that a power outage doesn't punish you either. It's the frequency of the act that causes the punishment. If people didn't constantly leave games then when that power outage happens nothing will happen to them.
Stop leaving games then blaming a well deserved punishment on rare events.

I can go for most of the week without any dcs or afks, but then on a RANDOM night...say, Tuesday, it takes me 25+ minutes to get all the way into a match because of lobby dc/afk...then half my games are remakes anyways because someone doesn't make it in. It just comes and goes so noticeably, like I'm being shunted into low priority queue without reason/explanation.
