Riot.. can you please do something nice and remove punishing people who afk when they group in a complete team of 5.
had a buddy with issues and he is nice guy... his connection is jacked up from this storm and it would be great not to get him banned for afk because he is part of our group and we are aware of his issue.
If he's aware of the issue then he shouldn't play until its fixed.

While you make a good case for removing the AFK penalty in groups of 5, you fail to account for the enemy team who gets either wait until you surrender or lose for however long the match goes on. I know I get no pleasure out of winning a 5v4 and sometimes I'll AFK farm off to the side to give the 4 man team a better chance while we wait for their fifth to come back. I've even screwed around and danced with the enemy team in an ARAM waiting for their fifth to come back because an auto-win isn't fun for either team.
In short: Consider the other 5 players, too.
