Starting to get more frustrated in games

Hexs Fortune··2 votes·422 views

It's the end of the season and my ranked is finished, so why am I getting angry in normals?

Maybe its because I play ranked to win and normals to have fun. So maybe struggling teammates in normals triggers a different internal response?

I'm holding in any toxicity, but I am noting how every fail game seems to bother me more than ever.

What do you guys think?

Take a break! If the game is frustrating you that much, it defeats the purpose of playing the game in the first place, which is to have fun.

You will end up perma banned just like everyone else that isnt happy to watch their teammates throw away a game or happy to witness trolls destroying their games, as riot intended. The people pushing you to this will forever stay unbanned and will continue to make league a terrible place because riot only cares about chat logs and nothing else.

Except Riot does care about trolling, and have even admitted to needing a better system to detect it. Just because chat is easier to monitor, doesn't mean they don't care about trolling

Ok but why did they decide to address the symptom of trolling idiots before they address the trolling idiots? The current system just seems like entrapment. Their "punishment" system right now literally consists of leaving every single troll, baiter and terrible person that doesnt say anything in chat alone, while at the same time only going after anyone that gets annoyed enough to say something, then when people complain on forums have tens of people just spam "chat log?" on a post so that they can justify the person's ban. Then everyone pats themselves on the back, the player remains banned, and people say "another toxic scum rightfully banned".

Lets try again.

It is easier to catch people being verbally toxic than it is for gameplay toxicity. When it comes to gameplay you have to double check and see if it just isn't a bad game. Yes some you may think would be easy, but consistency in gameplay is a thing. The TK/Donger 100% loss trolls always preformed poorly on those champs so it didn't really raise a flag in the system.

Yes being trolled sucks, but you know what? You don't have to flame. They are responsible for themselves and actions, just as you are for yours.

Why do you people that mindlessly spout shit about the current system and how it works have to always try to talk down condescendingly? You miss the point of everyone's posts non stop and just spout something about how something currently works, no one is arguing about how the system currently works. I am well aware of the way the system works, I am aware that riot likes to ban people only for chat offenses because its easiest and they can then use these bans to claim they are working on the toxicity problem. Im not arguing about what the current system does, when I argue Im arguing the philosophical backing of such a retarded system. Im arguing that this current system fosters people who grow to resent the game experience and then just eventually bans them because the people causing others to transform into raging players never get addressed. When people see others get away with trolling by just not typing in chat and see that they have the power to then get others banned they eventually turn into the same trolling idiots. This system fixes nothing except a symptom, and everyone on these forums just applauds it so much because they drank the koolaid and think any person banned is 1000000% a terrible person, morally inferior, childish, and overall scum. Im saying why do you have certain factors in this game that allow other people's mindsets and experiences to be poisoned to the point where they "flame" and then propose it is ethical to just get rid of everyone poisoned by trolls while leaving them untouched.

If it came out as condescending via text, then I feel you have misread something. I repeated a point that was either missed or ignored.

You misunderstand me. They want to claim that only chat gets banned and nothing else. Yet we have seen bans for other things.

You claim you understand, and you might, but there are plenty here who seem to think that because it is easiest to ban for a chat offense, it means Riot encourages game trolling.

You also seem to think I encourage the system and blindly accept it. I don't, it is a program and can make mistakes. However, yes, I do like how it does take care of one symptom. I don't encourage people to troll, but I also won't flame someone because they are doing bad. Of those cases where a flamer claims they only flamed because they had a troll, how often do you think it was a legit troll and how often do you think it was someone just having a bad game?

Dealing with a troll is easy, dealing with both a troll and a toxic flamer? Still easy, but more annoying.

Why does anything function the way it does? Because humans do things they both should and shouldn't. We fuck everything up.

Thank you for your reply. Once again, if it came out as condescending, I'm sorry. I legit don't care about either side. Not for or against the system. I just want to understand and make sure it is understood as we know.
