I believe my temp ban was unjustified and here's why

I got an email as to why i was banned and both of them don't actually make sense:

I assume that the part that says that i "dont play [my] respective role in champion select" stems from the fact that i take smite in nearly all of my games based on the fact that ** i like to use the summoner spell over other summoner spells**. You can review my account again, i queue as mid and jungle all of the time, and if i'm given either roles i TAKE SMITE NO MATTER WHAT.

It is unfair for me to be punished based on how i play this game, because the summoner spells that i use should not dictate whether i am "trolling" or not.

At the end of the day, i get to choose what summoner spells i want to use in a lane, and it should not be considered as troll behavior, and especially for it to be seen as "not taking your respective role in champ select" makes absolutely 0 sense.

I also believe that the person/robot reviewing my account identifies my play style as "trollish" as well. Sure Sion is known as tank, and i do play him tank sometimes, but i also like to play him full AD as well. I also like to play tank **AND FULL attack damage in the same game **. By that i mean sometimes i sell my tank items for split push items/full AD halfway through the game _ I generally only do this if my team is good enough on their own, or if the enemy team comp has a better team fight than us. _ **You can see, ONCE AGAIN, that I WIN GAMES BY DOING THIS STRATEGY, AND I ALSO LOSE GAMES BY DOING THIS STRATEGY. ** (see build path)

Now, BEFORE you say "unban this saint of a child at once", there was a recent game i had where i was once again mid lane with smite. The person that reviewed my account linked this chat log:

I honestly cant find the game that this was taken from. But i do remember it so i will tell you the story in TL;DR form

  • I was sion mid, asked for help with ganks, i kept dying to their jungler and was "feeding" at that point so i did what any reasonable person would do and began to farm the jungle. I feel like i'm being picked on specifically for the fact that i have smite, and it is seen as me not taking my respective role. If i had not had smite i feel like this chat log would be seen differently. When people are so far behind in their lane, it is a **FACT ** that they farm jungle because the lane is just unsafe to be in at a certain stage of the game. I am no different from the average mid laner that feeds and has to take jungle because they cannot farm in lane without being killed. In final, i also don't understand how i could be banned for not taking my respective role in champ select when i have evidence of playing sion mid when i get sion mid.

I honestly feel like nothing i said was actually toxic, and i wasn't spamming "open mid" if you consider the time span between messages

I also feel that this situation was unfair based on the fact that i didn't AFK at fountain, but rather continued to play the game:

I continued to play the game to output the most damage on my team, tank the most damage on my team, and earn the most gold income, which means i was **actively participating in the game ** and still technically cooperating with my team by making plays and defending my base. Which is what you TRY do as a losing team.

In the end my playstyle is just significantly different than the average player and shouldn't be labelled as troll behavior based on the fact that i have a 54 percent win rate. I am not actively trolling in any of these games, and i seriously believe that this temp ban was unjustified.

Either way you put it, claiming Open Mid usually means that you have giving up the game or at least your lane. So that basically means you went to a different lane, or farm jungle which means you were taking someone's roles for the duration of the game. Also the fact you just wrote that Warding contributes nothing makes it seem like this is a troll topic. Had you warded you wouldnt have been gank, or if you were you would have seen it coming thus not being able to die a lot of times.

Are you sure that by "We have noticed many games where you don't play your respective role in champ select", they aren't referring to the role you're assigned by dynamic que?

Example: You pick support as one of your two roles to get into a game faster, but push it on someone else when you get it because you don't actually want to play support.

Taking jungle camps is not something "good players do" when they get behind. First of all anytime you die to a gank it's your fault. You either didn't ward. didn't use the ward(watch the map) or just had horrible positioning. The reason you don't take jungle farm is because without jungle items you don't get full xp for jungle monsters. Meaning that farming jungle camps as a laner will not actually keep you in the game. What it will do is possible put your jungle behind the enemy jungle though. There is a reason that in the LCS when a lane gets dumpstered the team basically abandons that player and spreads its resources over the other 4 members. If you get put way behind in a game the best thing you can do is take on a support mentality and try and help your team that way. Otherwise you are taking up team resources and putting other team members behind just so you can go even. Think of it like this would you rather have person A behind but person B ahead, or would you rather have person A equal and person B behind. Its better for your team if you go with the first scenario and don't steal farm to try and pull even. Also as per champ select rules your position you select is in contention with where you are aloud to farm. That means the jungle has the sole right to jungle farm and by juggling you are playing his role. In the end you seem like an out of control emotional roller coster and I think your ban is deserved.

Things like this are hard to prove because the only evidence there could be is of the actual game. Just showing the end game results proves nothing in your statement. Also you even stated you were feeding and taking the jungle creeps, which i understand people do, But for all we know the jungler could have asked you to stop but you didnt. Put into account that your were probably getting gank a lot in Mid because you didnt ward enough, nor did you even bother to buy a Pink ward in any of the game matches you shown.

Even your chatlogs shown that you just give up too easily. Yes it sucks having an AFK but you can still try to play and win the game. If its that bad just surrender giving up by saying "Open Mid" is just wrong, you have that negative attitude as you assume the game is lost before even actually trying. You assume you cannot win with 1 person afk!

All in all it seems a tad bit crazy to assume you got ban just because you took an off meta summoner spell. By that logic Supports who dont take exhaust should get ban as well, yet ive seen my fair share of supports would take heal/ignite, or even Smite and yet nothing happens to them. It just seem like there is more to this story than you are giving us!

Like all posts like this, assuming your honesty I agree you shouldn't have been banned for personally preferencing smite mid. Plenty of LCS players have taken smite mid and top (although not this season, shush) so it's not unheard of and I hope another Rioter analyzes your account and helps you with a fix.

Man, not being toxic for 6 months (thats not getting banned restricted or anything) and doing this in 1 game and getting 9x reported because of a 4 man premade is great! Being harassed and im the problem. BEING BANNED FROM A BULLSHIT SYSTEM THAT LYTE CREATED THAT DOESNT WORK IS GREAT! You are right, i should listen to them. I HAVE THE ROPE!
