I didn't write this, but I REALLY think Riot needs to take this into consideration...

I have come to the conclusion that too high of a majority of the people who play ranked games at bronze-silver and I am sure, even sometimes gold elo do not actually differentiate between Ranked and Unranked games. In other words, they play ranked games with little to no care or effort, when they should leave that mindset in aarams or even unranked ques.

There needs to be a better system of punishment for players who are intentionally and obviously (consistently) not putting forth effort in ranked games. I am talking about players who not only feed, but also players who have obviously given up well before a game would end. Do not neglect lower elos, because I can tell you from personal experience that the lower the elo the worse this problem is - which makes climbing a living nightmare

Why should players who are trying their damndest in any elo be penalized for players who type in chat "gg" at 10 minutes after giving away 4 kills?

I don't understand why I need to lose lp because of these people.

Ty

I 100% agree with the person who wrote this. Solo que could be a bitch sometimes last season but it was a steady climb if you were good, now it's like a rollar coaster.

And how would you like Riot to determine and then police people who are 'not showing enough effort'.

perfect example, my last game, adc 27cs at the end of the game, in a 17 min loss because she went afk, well not really, she kept running around the map so she wouldnt get hit with an afk

If you're actively not playing the game like that, that's already a bannable offense for trolling. There's a difference between that and "not putting forth effort".

i completely agree, but i cant tell you how many times ive heard someone say, dude chill its only a game. well yes its only a game... kinda. i dont look at ranked as "only a game", aram yes, normals yes, w/e is on the rotate q yes. but not ranked. i mean ask higher elo player if they treat ranked as "only a game" or if they put time and effort into becoming a better player. and it does cause a problem for players, like i just hit gold this season. but every patch i read patch notes, i learn new builds, i try to understand power spikes. but when you have a team of 4 players that are treating the game like its aram you can never move up. and let me tell you, gold is worse than silver!!!

They say "chill its only a game" not to excuse their performance but to stop u from flaming and harassing them

I agree with you on this to an extent, but there's a fine line between making a bad game reportable. If someone insists on playing a champion out of position, like a nidalee support in ranked, should that be reportable?

Normals should be the place to experiment and have a good time, but people can be so toxic there, acting like its a high stakes ranked game.

Right. That is 'unsportsmanlike behavior', already reportable and punishable.

Obviously, what you are calling for is a "Try Hard Police"!! Maybe you can form that organization, monitor game, and report to Riot every time players are not trying hard enough.

STOP! You have been busted by the Try Hard Police!!! Pull your champion over to the curb and put your hands in the air! Freeze motha-fucka, or I shoot -- this report straight over to Rito!

You can tell when someone is just throwing a game because they don't feel like playing it. I'm not talking about people who just don't do well, I mean people who say "gg" "ff at 20" when it's 10 minutes into the game. Again I didn't write this, but I do agree with it.

That's because ranked is a joke since dynamic queue.

You walk into treacherous territory when you try to punish people based on pure, biased opinion. There is no gauge for "not putting forth effort," and everything you've mentioned has been flat out trolling. Furthermore, whether you believe it or not, ranked is "only a game." The only people for whom this is more than a game are the pros who get paid and endorsed to play in the LCS and World's scenes. So keep that in mind, and remember, you theoretically play League to relax and enjoy your gaming experience. Blowing a vein everytime someone doesn't perform according to your opinion in ranked gets you nor your team anywhere.
