I'm worried Flex Q is going to get me banned

I've been playing Flex Q and it's been a disaster.

The majority of my games have been absolute stomps. I'd say 70% of the time I've got taken to the cleaners. I'm playing bot lane so we are already the focus of every single gank attempt. Of course we can't do anything when we take 3-4 man ganks except die or go B.

From there, it sets up a series of harassment reactions:

  • Jung, mid and top blame bot lane for losing to 3-4 man ganks, ignoring any fault they might have in letting laners disappear.

  • Bot lane tends to blame the jungle, because their jungler is ganking while ours doesn't.

  • Bot lane usually implodes and we go after each other, since both of us are losing.

  • The enemy team of course isn't just satisfied with winning. They feel the need to harass the losing the team and spam the /taunt command, which has no purpose in League anyway.

The mode also causes issues because the skill gaps are wide. I got placed in B5 and am meeting Gold 3 players or better. Even if I hold up as an adc, I have to hope my support is going to as well.

The solos vs premade experiment is also a disaster here as the premade is going to beat the solo's 80%+ of the time or more.

I don't see how my account stays active like this. I'm going to get harassed if I have a bad game. I'm going to get reported for feeding. Since reports are free, they will throw a negative attitude in there as well because there is no reason not to. And I'm going to end up saying something when I got 4+ people saying shit to me.

Riot really needs to evaluate what the purpose of reports are, because the losing team is always going to have more reports placed than the winning team and the premade will always have the better shot of getting atleast 1 report in. Since we also do not know if things like verbal abuse and negative attitude stack or if they don't, we have to assume that they do.

Just a heads up, reports may be free but if you do nothing wrong they mean nothing. People get a strange idea in their heads that mass reports will get you banned. This isn't true, 1 true report will, however, 100 false ones will not.

My last 3 punishments have all occurred after I had a full team asking for my report.

The thing is, what League qualifies as bad behavior happens in every single game. And everything you say looks worse because you only see one side of the conversation. And if you don't say anything at all? Report for not communicating/working with the team.

oh i'm just yanking muta's leg. Cos he strongly believes that its the group reports that got him punished.

Hes probably one of those that feel like he didn't do anything wrong and just got bullied :P

Saying something and being toxic are 2 different things, just ensure your response isn't a toxic one. If you think you are incapable of not responding in a toxic manner then simply mute everyone.

We do know, they don't. If you do get restricted, it's because you gave in and said something back instead of just /mute-ing them which is on you, not flex queue's fault.

We don't know. I always report for negative and verbal if someone says something to me. One of them should be thrown out then, but they aren't. Riot also does not usually differentiate in chat logs whether you got punished for verbal or negative, so these two are the same category split into 2.

And it is extremely difficult to get endlessly harassed by your team plus likely the other team if you have a bad game without replying. I don't believe anyone could do it.

Muting is cool, but mutes expire in post-game chat, where "report x player" is commonplace in most of my games.

We've literally had red posts saying only reports that are true will matter. It doesn't matter if they stack since it only takes 1 true report. If you have 4 reports in one game, it's either gonna be all 4 of those are true or all 4 are false, so stacking literally doesn't matter.

I know this system better than anyone else outside of Rito and have had lengthy discussions with everyone here.

There are 100 million players. 5% of the playerbase has been punished. So over 5 million players are punished. How often? We don't know. But to check through chat histories for 5 million players would take forever, so we can assume humans do not check punishment logs. It would take 100,000 people to check 50 reports a month to follow this. Riot does not have this many workers.

It doesn't matter if they stack since it only takes 1 true report.

No one verifies if it was a legit report or not. It's not mathematically possible. And you need multiple reports over multiple games to get punished.

100 million players LOL that number doesn't count for smurfs and alts and perma-banned accounts I believe.

Go into game and start screaming racism and homophobia and see if it only takes one game or not to get punished xD

We don't know, but even if you would say 20 million are banned or smurfs, it's still an impossible number of players to track.

Agreed it is horrible right now with broken little kids wanting mommy and crying about this and that! When they should get skilled and be a better player.
