Something needs to be done about toxicity while leveling.

I Have convinced 2 friends to download league, both have quit after less than 15 games. They enjoyed playing what they didnt enjoy was getting cussed out, flamed, called garbage, told to kys, and listen to mongoloid ragelords who think they are amazing and good enough to smurf and crush new players, but are bronze 4.

These are smurfs tearing apart new players for being new, AT THE EARLIEST STAGE OF THE GAME.

It is UNBELIEVABLE, how badly anyone who is remotely new gets treated. I feel so bad for anyone who is trying to get into league, luckily i had leveled with a few friends, so it wasnt that bad.

Something needs to be done, it turns away a lot of players who would of enjoyed playing.

My Idea: Do something along the lines of knowing what other account is playing from that IP, and punish their main account as well. No one cares if their fresh off the boat account gets a chat restriction.

The response to this post has actually been disgusting and I lost a lot of faith in the community that checks these boards, but most players under "player behavior and moderation" are probably banned toxic ragelords.

I recently started leveling a new account, and have encountered virtually no toxicity. I've played about 25 games on it. Also, your friends are more than welcome to mute.

you shouldnt have to mute your team every game to enjoy it. especially when communication wins games.

When they're that toxic they ain't team working shit.

And their probably banned on their mains.

Muting is an important lesson you forgot to teach.

It's YOUR FALT that your friends were driven away.

toxicity isn't limited to just words, i can't control the ingame actions of any player.

I never mute, if someone wants to rage let them imo, this also applies to every new player who maybe didn't download because someone told them to, they were just new.

In what way is it my responsibility to prepare them for shitlords? You see riot next to my name? its someones job to handle these issues.

Not really. I am not banned, I'm a bronze alt helping friends level.

Being in game with them on a low level doesn't put them at a disadvantage to play against higher level people because I'm 30.

It also gives me a chance to give them hands on coaching and be there fore them when shit hits the fan and they run into toxic players. This allows me to take control of toxic situations and turn it into a learning experiance that will help them later on.

I don't do this just for my friends but for any new player I come across I try to help create a toxic free learning environment for them.

In a way it is half your job to help prepare them if you wanted them to stay.

I apologize for your inconvenience but I am just telling you how it is.

I see where you're coMing from, but disagree. I think anyone should be able to say anything, and if you're the type of person who is sensitive to bring shit talked, mute. Personally, I don't care, so I don't respond and move on. But the option is always there for those who's feelings are easily hurt.

Bronze/ silvers aren't smurfs. They're alts.

Those players you encountered are probably banned on their main accounts.

they were in pvp.

if someone rages in bots thats even more pathetic.

For smurfs.. sure.

For new players who have yet to learn basic mechanics... If you throw them into PVP YOU SIR ARE THE OUTRAGEOUS ONE.

At least let them reach level 10, own a champion they're used to playing... AND THEN THROW THEM UNDER THE BUSS.

You get the same IP and EXP for winning an Intro bot game as you would for a normal till level 10.. Why would you subject them to that torture?

Smurfs aren't what caused them to leave, it was one of the dominos. The main thing that got them to leave was you gave them no choice but to level in PVP.

#For your information it's not just smurfs.

There's banned players and Scripters leveling accounts to sell them later on.

They ain't friendly...

they can play whatever the hell they want, if i que as a level 7 account, i expect to play against people with similar experience. in any game.

you keep saying me? im not playing with them in this scenario because thats scummy as hell, i have no desire to squash new players.

you are forced into bot games, but bot games only give you a basic understanding of your abilities, and that is literally all the help they provide.

Ehh you should know better about people create smurfs.

When I first joined my friends warned me about low level pvp being utter hell.

Sure mean players drove them away. You get those in a lot of games. But it was you who drove them into that situation ealier than most without proper warning.

And as the guy said you should of taught them to mute people who were toxic.

And don't you go and say teamwork bullshit because you know if they're that toxic they ain't working together anyways.

They played their mandatory bot games, went into pvp, which they should be allowed to do. NO ONE wants to fight bots in anything? When you play cs go do you learn by bots or deathmatch?

Toxicity isn't limited to just words, you can get people killed. Troll the team, do whatever you want really.

Can you mute that fam? Considering you are a level 12 account, you are probably one of the banned for toxicity people.

Never played cs go, and I don't care to.

The only champions that can harm teammates are

Anivia. Tham. And bard. And NO ONE PLAYS THEM AT LOW LEVEL..

Most people play off the free rotation.

Don't assume I'm banned. I haven't been toxic. I'm one of the more nicer alt account you'll find.

i agree with you but i just dont see what they can do to stop it. i almost wish it was pay to play. that would slow down the new accounts.

I think you have to realize, a large portion of the people leveling new accounts, are people that lost their last accounts for being toxic, or are building alt accounts to play when their mains get suspended and chat restricted, they should crack down on low level toxic players though
