There's no point in warning the player for AFK behavior

If they get the warning, they're already penalized. Asking them to come back is a useless effort since they gain no rewards.

Sure there is a reward. The reward is knowing you didn't completely fucked over your team even if you won't get anything else if you win. Maybe karma will return for you in that someone else won't fuck you over in other games and come back for you.

If I want someone to come back, they most likely won't. Which is a shame when we could have won.

Not every afk is a willful act. Sometimes life happens. Sometimes internet shit on you. If Rito asks 10 afk-ers to come back and only 1 of them does. That is one person who returned to game vs. none if they don't ask. I'm not sure what your complain is. You prefer Rito does nothing?

What warning are you talking about? Leave buster and the low priority queue? Is there some kind of in game popup that happens for afk players? I honestly don't know what you're talking about and I just want to know what warning you are referring to so I can better reply to your post.

If you afk for (I believe) 15 minutes during game, There is a pop-up telling you you've been afk or some such and make you click on some kind of button to come back or quit out of the game. Been a very very long time since last I had to afk during game and saw that pop-up due to some unfortunate IRL obligations.

Isn't it more like 5 minutes nowadays? I remember having to interrupt a game recently, due to ehh.... nasty bowelmovements, and I know for sure that I didn't spend 15 minutes on the toilet ;)

It has been a very long time (I believe season 6 or 7). I guess-timated :) I eventually came back after some times (most definitely more than 15 minutes) knowing I already got hit by LeaveBuster (well I knew I would when I had to leave the PC for a bit of time). IRL happens sometimes. I took LB warning without complaint, apologized to the team and tried my best to salvage what's left of the game.
