you being punished for being toxic, and the other party not is still fair, stop using this.

chat based punishements are based on consistency x severity.

so think of it this way, imagine it takes 3 confirmed reports of you being toxic to be punished. player A flamed 2 games already, and player B who has never flamed before, just blows his lid on A. A and B both end up in an idiotic argument. guess what? both of them are reported but only A gets punished, as he is confirmed consistently more toxic then B is. no one ever thinks that the other party maybe just isn't punished because they aren't consistently toxic across multiple games.

thing is, thats perfectly fair, being that the system is designed to give all players some form of leeway when it comes to chat restrictions. you being punished doesn't abstain someone else from being toxic nor make them "right", but that also doesn't mean they are consistently toxic enough to warrant a restriction in the first place, barring zero tolerance.

Stop using someone elses toxicity to justify your own, and stop saying "but its not fair only i was restricted"

You know I have been banned twice, for sticking up for a player that has been bullied in games. The person bullying doesn't get a slap on the wrist, I get banned though. This is Riot and them showing us how fucking shit they really are.

Can we stop making threads pretending to understand how the punishment system works? Riot purposely makes this system vague and unclear, so unless you actually work on the player behavior team; you don't know anything about how punishments and chat restrictions / bans are handled.

Unless you get an instant 2 week ban with only ONE GAME chat log which isn't even that toxic to begin with, just you using "THE-WORDS-THAT-SHALL-NOT-BE-NAMED" and asking the support, you receive a response that "One game is enough to be banned for toxicity", so yeah, your whole statement about the leeway and stuff is plainly wrong, it's just the automated systems decision if you get punished properly or not.

Also, in a perfect world, the context would be taken into consideration and there would be an actual person deciding whether or not someone should be banned based on multiple games... Oh, wait, we had something like that! It was called Tribunal and it worked perfectly as it should, but got scraped in order to be replaced with a flawed automated system.

And you know what? Protecting a company achieves nothing, honestly. What will you do if you one day get punished unfairly? Take it up the ass "like a man" or actually try to fight the unfair system?
