@lyte anyway to punish champ select 4 man group bullies?

Just had to dodge a very toxic 4 man team that was attempting to bully me out of my desired role, despite me being first pick. They threatend to troll me all game, try to get me killed and report me afterwards. I hate experiences like this. As a direct result of this im going to play another, less toxic moba (smite) instead of enjoying league :-(

Is there anyway to punish horrible people like what I just encountered? Anyway to prevent these 4 man premades from ruining other players fun?

I have a quote going around here. Basically, once dynamic queue hits, they are going to make it so that you have tons of weight against a 4 man group with regards to punishing them with reports. THe problem is, in all games, Smite included, it's hard to stop the behavior before it happens.

They understand that 4-man premades can have a toxic mentality and they are working on it, though.

Why dodge?

Riot Lyte answered some of the concerns over the 4 person premade questions on his Ask.fm in the last few days.

Here are some of the answers you might be interested in:

#What happends if you get matched with 4 premades and they all report you? If you report them back will your reports weight the same as all 4 of them?‎ [Source] Not exactly. Basically, it's nearly impossible to get punished by 4 premades just because they gang up and all report you. It doesn't matter whether you "counter report" them or not. All systems these days will measure each report and the contents of the game to determine if the reports were accurate, so if you did nothing negative, you have nothing to worry about.

#Will Riot consider making premades with only 2,3 or 5 people and not 4 so the one player playing soloqueue is not getting screwed by being placed with a 4 man premade in ranked? [Source] Some players are really overreacting to the potential negative experiences from Premade 4s. In fact, across League, most games have at least 1 premade group in them and most players never notice. I just checked some older data on Premade 4s and here it is: **Queue: **Blind Pick (because we don't have Premade 4s in Solo/Duo today to look at) Group Comp: Premade 4s Only (no segmentation on positive, neutral, toxic or mixed groups of Premade 4s) Reports Checked: Negative Attitude # of Reports Received FROM THE PREMADE 4s to the SOLO per 100 games: 0.40 # of Reports Sent BY THE SOLO to the PREMADE 4s per 100 games: 0.67

Some caveats to this data: It's imperfect, and a quick check on a weekend. To do this properly at the office, you would analyze all report categories for billions of games across Normal Blind and Normal Draft and it'd take a lot longer. Secondly, this is Blind Pick, so the trends would definitely be slightly worse in a Dynamic Queue or "high stakes" context. Regardless, the data provides some insights.

It's true that Premade 4s are slightly more toxic than we'd like compared to Premade 2s, 3s and 5s, but it's nowhere near as catastrophic as some players are suggesting. Think about it: for every 100 games with a Premade 4 that a Solo plays, they only report the Premade 0.67 times--less than 1 of the 100 games on average. This just goes to show that on average, players never even notice their teammates are Premade 4 and there aren't huge catastrophically negative experiences in every Premade 4 match.

I hope some of that helps answer your questions. Lyte answers a lot in the Ask.fm as well, if you send him a question he hasn't answered yet, he may reply.

you will have the same shitty normal queue experience which most of us avoid now in ranked isnt it fine season 6 ranked will be remerbered as the start of killing the game and losing players...und hopefully in an unemployeed lyte in the future with a game failure on his hands as big as wow
