To everyone who got caught using MKLOL

Okay so. Lemme start off by saying i am not banned. Have never used 3rd party programs and this is not a salty rant. I am sure i will still get downvoted anyway tho.

With that said. Riots new banwave for scripting and 3rd party programs just went out and from all the posts i have seen i am seeing one thing in common with most of them.

MKLOL

For those who dont know. MKLOL is a program which is considered to be a cheating device by Riot and their terms of service. Using the program results in a ban. Plain and simple.

Before Riot declared MKLOL to be a cheat device warnings were sent out to all those using it. Summoners who had the program installed were given a wtitten warning about the program, told it was cheating and that they would have a small time frame to get rid of it.

Sadly it looks like most people did not get the hint. The term "get rid of it" does not mean tuck it in the back of your harddrive and never use it again, it literally means Get. Rid. Of. It.

Uninstall it. Delete it. Wipe it off your harddrive

Almost every post i have read about the ban wave has contained the following sentence (or something simmiler)

"I do have MKLOL installed but stopped using it after the warning."

I dont believe this is good enough for Riot. Its like taking a test with a cheat sheet right there on your desk face down and promising the teacher you wont look at it as they step outside to get a drink or something.

When you were given the written warning you were told using MKLOL was a danger to your account. That right there would have had me uninstalling and deleting that shit asap. Not just leaving it where it was and never using it.

In the end it all comes down to trust. MKLOL is not trusted and you were warned that you were not trusted to be in possesion of it. So when the ban wave hit and MKLOL was detected on your system still then you got slapped with the ban.

The point of this post was to help shed some light for those who were banned. However onething to remember is that i am not a Riot employee and nothing i posted is offical. Everything i said could also be entirley wrong. Thats for Riot to decide.

Bittom line. Dont trust any 3rd party programs at all and this wont happen.

honestly.... I used it like 3 months ago... then I got a warning to stop using it... I immediately Deleted/ uninstalled it from my pc... and still got banned...

Exactly this! few months ago I got banned for third party programs and received punishment (fair enough) uninstalled it right after but yesterday i get a ban even though i had no programs installed Riot needs to fix this asap

I used MKLOL for a few days in early December 15, then uninstalled a few days later as warning. I got banned today too and very frustrated. Could it possibly be some tracer still left in the system, i dont know, I'm not that advanced. :(

Heya dude,

You're correct: you have stopped using mkjogo. Our last scripting banwave inappropriately targeted some skinhacking abuse (you included), though we never intended to permanently suspend for that behavior exclusively. All those affected should now be unbanned.

Thanks for the honesty, and as always, practice caution in choosing to use client modifications. While we're not permanently suspending for mkjogo today, we're obviously not ever going to condone any "skinhacking" service.

Hey man,

I removed MKLOL quite a while ago from my PC. I never got banned or anything, but I do want to ask: Could you take a look at my account to see if everything's ok? I recently found a folder named MKLOL even though I thought I had removed everything. So basically, just to be sure c: Would appreciate it.

Isnt it illegal for you to be scanning peoples hard drives?

they dont have to scan your hard drive they just look at your scripts from the game. its pretty easy to see if youre using or have used a 3rd party programming by looking at your game logs. etc.

Correct but the op of this game is saying even if you arent using it. I.e. you have it turned off so its not communicating with the client which many if the people who have been banned are saying is what happened to them

It's not illegal. You signed a contract, or rather, you mostly like hit the "I Accept" button on the contract.

Ok find the part of the terms of service that says "i give riot permission to scan my harddrive", because i just spent all weekend lookibg for it abd couldnt see it anywhere

I never used it and got banned anyway.

The only third party program I ever used was LSI (league summoner information) which a Rioter directly stated was okay. Maybe I was banned for toxicity? except I wasn't given chat logs.... not everyone was banned for the same reason, I expect a lot of rollbacks..... hopefully.

To bad this isn't true though. I got the warning as well over 6 months ago. A week after the warning my HD crashed and I had to buy a new one. Never installed it on the new one and I still got the ban. So explain that one? Also please explain why riot is searching everyone's computer? I do not see that in the terms of service that they can search my computer? Cause not every one installs programs the same way, example most people probably do the typical install, I myself keep all my programs on a backup drive, which means it is not in the default location and riot would have to search all 3 hard drives to find any type of software. So why is riot invading our PC? What else are they taking from it?

Might be a registry change or similar that doesn't get removed/reverted upon uninstalling.

Hopefully this isn't the case, but at least the accounts aren't deleted so if a mistaken has been made, nothing is lost aside from a few days

hey guys i got perma banned today is it possible i used that skin program months ago? cant remember when but last i used it it was start 2016 i guess
