when i keep hearing about fairy tails of people being born nice and continue to be nice all their lives and never got a chat restriction since season x (very early season) and they don't know what it's like to be toxic etc

can you guys at least say believable things? like 1 i flame sometimes but i am smart enough to not get banned, 2 i used to flame but not anymore 3 i got a single ban or few but improved my behavior since then (aka flaming much less, not flaming at all is impossible)

you know things that sounds realistic and not make toxcity look like an incurable sickness in comparison

You know most people AREN'T toxic in their games, right? Like, it's possible to play a video game and not lose your shit. Just because you have anger issues doesn't mean the rest of us do.

Your thread, your responses to this thread, and from what I've seen from your replies to other threads show a pattern of you just wanting to have arguments with people. Can't you just play a video game and enjoy yourself without turning it into an exercise in psychology? And if you hate the game, or the rules, or the community or whatever, maybe you need to do right by yourself and quit.

Are you saying I should lie to you because my behavior doesn't match your perception of how things must be?

I don't flame. I never flamed. I have not been banned or punished.

I sometimes get annoyed, and may express that annoyance in ways that are not flaming. I may sometimes say "this jungler just isn't very good -- we can't rely on him" to a premade teammate over voice chat. About the worst I say is "This guy is just an asshole. Mute him and let's refocus" again over voice chat. Would that earn a chat restriction if typed out? Unlikely -- it's not great (i.e. if reported I'd have a few points on my profile), but even then it's a very rare behavior that would almost certainly be off my record by the time it happens again.

That's the thing to keep in mind: the system does give some leeway if you're occasionally a bit frustrated or a bit snarky. Most players don't flame, but some do get frustrated here and there. The system has built-in tolerance for a modest amount of frustration expressed infrequently and with minor severity. So most players don't get punishments, and most of that is not what we'd call "flaming."

The only bans I've ever received are on the Boards, and that's for discussing things unallowed on Boards such as politics. I've never been banned in-game nor chat-restricted, even with the times I did flame and rage-quit, since I've started playing in Season 1 or so; I've only ever run into issues with warnings from leavebuster and was placed on low priority queue once.

League's punishment system as far as I can tell, is extremely lenient to the point of being too much so in most things (it struggles with most player misconduct that has nuance in its toxicity, on top of having a tendency to give the toxic player too much benefit of the doubt). For the very most part the people who get banned, especially the kind who's banned on more than 1 account, simply asked for it and there should be no tears shed for them.
