Leaver Buster reseting after queue doesn't find a match and restarting

Why does leaver buster penalty resets. Ok i afked. i don't afk because i want to but because of personal emergencies. i only afked handful of times this is the 2nd time i get penalized for it. but when I wait 20 mins. and the queue seems to be not working and I go and restart. WHY DOES THE 20 MINUTE PENTALTY reset? I already paid the price for it. waited 20 mins to get in queue. and now I have to wait an additional 20 minute because your queue is broken?. its been 2:30 ALREADY and I haven't joined a game because these penalties keep stacking and they don't take them off the 5 amount because they keep reseting it. C'mon man. this is beyond cruel.

AFK's happen. I've had to leave a game once and real life is much more important than a game. However, regardless of the reason, it doesn't make it any less disruptive to your team and completely ruins the game for 9 people. (Well, at least 4 people.) The leaverbuster isn't necessarily a punishment, but rather, a tool designed to ensure you're able to not AFK for enough time to play a game. In fact, the twenty minutes only resets if you're the cause for the queue not being accepted. If somebody not in your party fails to accept the queue, your leaverbuster doesn't reset at all.

So basically, it's a good thing leaverbuster was there, right?

I agree with you however I also believe the penalty in itself is too quickly assigned. I am someone who very rarely EVER AFK's in a match however my first time going AFK in a long time I got leaver buster punished immediately. Another game, I had someone at my door and it's not like I can just not answer the door.. and once again punished by the system. The Leaver Buster is far too strict to be practical. Instead of keeping League of Legends a fun, positive game to play it makes it so that the only way you can enjoy League is to have absolutely no life and ignore all personal responsibilities. That is not fun in anyway whatsoever and to any players who cannot understand that you probably have personal issues and should see a therapist.
