Really.

I had a remake and the guy returned, I think that's an unfair punishment to them since his internet probably crashed but he came back as soon as possible.

Uhhh no. If it takes that long for a leaver to come back the enemy team is already at a large advantage and the game is already ruined.

The LoL client closes out on people and doesn't let them log back in unless they reboot their comp sometimes.

This is not Riots fault its the players. If they are having technical issues they should resolve them first before attempting to play.

Client is quite buggy sometimes/

There is nothing to fix.

I have played LoL on 15+ laptops and computers over my league career and not once have i had this problem. If LoL is crashing or being odd its not because of the client its because something is messed up on the pc.

if you refresh a page on google chrome while the league browser opens to load you into game it gets a warning for example, that's a bug

I have had the odd DC and have had to close my client and log back in and have never had an issue with being banned or put on a timer or punished! So yeah human error.

We can't help living in a dorm that has disconnect-prone university internet.

And no, don't go to college isn't an answer.

Why is it a problem if I reconnect after 5 minutes

Thats still not Riots fault. If your internet is prone to DCs then this is not the game you should be playing. In the end it comes down to you because its your account thats causing the negative experience for others. Not Riot. Thats why leavers get punished no matter what the reason.

Well if you leave the whole game yeah you should be punished, but if you come back within 5 minutes it's bullshit getting punished for it. 5 minutes is less than 1/8 of a game.

That sucks totally see why it's bugging, your shared bandwidth in the dorm! That or DDOS attacks, maybe just someone downloading. But the thing is most games run better on a higher upload speed! Have you tried to increase that in your room and maybe find a program that will boost your signal in your room for just your wifi. You can steal bandwidth ya know! Tweak your router settings for quality of service, prioritization, and dual-band, dual-band router, use Powerline devices to extend the range of the network.
