For 20 minutes straight, every cooldown of their ping timer. "Yasuo signals enemies are missing" on either your dead body or his or anything really.

Either add a report category for ping abuse, or let players choose between text mute and/or ping mute on a per player basis. Just like text chat can be both helpful to teamwork or abused, so can pings.

There is no reason I shouldn't be able to completely remove communication with this yasuo after he figured out the team all muted him.

Additionally, there could be further ping restrictions in the game. Such as this: every time you hit the max allowable pings, the timer before you can ping again grows quickly until it basically mutes you (current timer -> 1 min -> 5 min -> 15 min)

I have got verbal abused harras, death threats but the only thing that makes me want to afk or actually go afk and give up is when a person spam ping me non stop and there is nothing you can do about it. Having to hear 30 pings and no way to mute it is Riot stupid decision of not letting us mute a certain persons ping.

but I also get tired of Emote spamming to.

I know their is a third party app that will just auto spam it but my god.it gets annoying

had a game where I had a Vieger support. all he did was spam his taunt all game got to a point I left bottom lane as ADC cause I was done hearing it.

i do ~~or used to do~~ the same with Lux laugh support. Only difference is that I warn my adc to mute voices on settings before minions spawn ~~and occasionally, watch enemy support/adc ragequit 8min into game after getting his/her ear raped~~

While I do agree something should be done towards people who abuse this feature there are ways you can prevent it. Ping sound is in the setting and you can change it, also not that it a reportable offense, just make sure you actually state why you are reporting this person.

This mutes all pings, 3 players may still be using the feature in a productive way and now I'm missing out on the audio from it. That's like if text mute was /mute all or nothing, no per player basis. Although even the text from the spam pings is decently annoying by itself

Yes, but it's at least something. It obviously needs improvements but from the way you sounds it's as if there was never a way to do this in general when you already can, just not the way you want it!

... no. Your solution is a terrible option. You got the wrong impression from his post. He wants a way to mute ping trolls, not mute pings in general.

but you can still see it, so whats the problem? Im also against this, but for the time being this is what we have to deal with. So use the features we have and wait for it to get better!

...are you seriously suggesting watching the map and text constantly is the same as just checking it when you hear the alert noise? Most players don't have the map awareness/multitasking to pick up on all (useful) pings and can miss messages, even with the sound alerting them. Myself and probably almost everyone at an average level of play included

Muting all pings from other teammates with good communication is definitely not a "feature" it's a workaround and a poor one at that

I miss all pings because I am depressed, so high volume pings stress me, thus I lowered the volume and I don't realise it's happening anymore :v

Yeah the sound is annoying and you can turn it off. Trying to pay attention the the fucking minimap though is impossible when it's covered in spam pings and you have no idea which pings are legit or not.

My main issue is people look at Riven/Yasuo/Vayne players And say the champ main is toxic. But when a malphite main is toxic then its the player. I will say i have just as many toxic Vayne games as toxic Jannas, You just remember the Vayne example more because lul memes.

There are exceptions, sure, but it's not rare at all to see a Yasuo charging 1v5 and thinking how he carries the game, just to die 10th time in a row and blaming own team for that :/

When was the last time you saw 0/15 janna, blaming teammates and bragging how is she a carry?

Yasuo is a much more common sight in the toxic community because people play him expecting him to be "GG EZ" but then get fucked because they don't realize he actually takes a few chromosomes to handle, not that I'm saying he's hard to do well with, just hard to be a "God" as him.

In my experience I've played him around 4 times to get to know his kit.

While toxicity depends on the player, certain champions tend to attract toxic players more frequently than others.

Unsurprisingly, these champions are often flashy, high-mobility carries who tend to excel in 1v1s.

Actually that option was removed about seven patches ago. It used to mute pings as well as mastery emotes and taunts/jokes/dances, but not anymore.

That is more of Riot catering to the 'needs' of spoiled brats. They want you to feel their rage, one way or another. If they let you mute players fully, that would completely shut down raging, spoiled brats from interfering with team communication.

Selective ping muting - yes. Further ping restrictions - no.

Side note - I want to be able to reduce the ping size on my minimap, because sometimes when a teammate (not in an abusive way) pings danger on the map, the pings cover the area and I can't see who the enemies are. This is with the minimap on 100% size.

Riot, when a person is muted, make it so the pings still pop up, but the chat message for each only appears once, and the sound and visual in-game(So not on the minimap) is invisible
