Is there a way to just ALWAYS have chat silenced?

I can't stand these players anymore, and I'd rather not have to remember to mute EVERYONE every match.

If you press ENTER in-game to open chat, you can then click and drag the window it appears in off of your screen. Then hit ESC or ENTER again to close chat. It won't appear on your screen anymore, and this should carry into future games as a part of your UI setup.

Doesn't help, some moron starts crying in chat and you hear same message received sound over and over again for every message.

There are probably settings for sound that allow you to mute chat sounds. I don't have access to the game on this computer, but anyone who does could probably find it.
