Can Riot ban me if I ask them to?

I want to be banned to see what it feels like. If I post in here asking Riot to do that for me, will they do it?

I should point out that I've not been doing anything in game to encourage people to report me. I just think that I deserve a ban and was wondering if Riot would do so for me. I'd also prefer it not to be permanent, as I enjoy this game and would like to return to it at some point.

What?

If you want to know what it feels like to be banned just stop playing for a couple weeks.

It's not the same though. I want to experience being forcibly unable by Riot to play League of Legends for a couple of days.

There is still going to be a difference in that people who are banned don't know it is coming, while you are specifically bringing it on yourself. That being said I am sure you could send in a request, although make sure from the very start exactly what you are asking. Support has a bad habit of only partially reading requests so you want to be very clear.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in the difference in it or not. It's fine if I see it coming. I just think that my behavior lately hasn't been up to Riot's standards, and I think it would be in their best interest to ban me.

Well in that case a ticket is definitely your best shot. If Riot is willing to delete champions for people I don't think they would have an issue with you wanting to temp ban your account, although expect some questioning since they probably want to make sure you didn't just hack into the account or anything.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I don't want to be permanently banned from the game. I just want to be banned for a couple days so I can have some time to think about my actions that I've committed today. I really like League of Legends and I'd like to continue playing. I just think that I should be punished.

If you'd really like to know, I feigned ignorance about knowing how to play the game today, and effectively lied to my team which I feel strongly about. I take my moral character very seriously, and I guess I just got lost in the moment, but I really feel terrible about what I've done, so I've been asking people in game to report me for the last couple of games I've played so that I could be banned. If Riot could ban me for three or four days directly I'd be appreciative of that. I just think I've greatly gone against what Riot expect of their playerbase and need a light reprimand for it.

Hmm? Oh whoops, naw I totally got what you meant. It is just midnight and I picked the wrong words. Meant to say ban instead of delete, ima fix that.

Thank you guys for the help! I think I was just overreacting a bit. I tend to get tilted from this game a lot, and I deal with it by asking people to report me. I know it's counterproductive, but I did it a lot today which is why I ended up making this thread in the first place to just nip it in the bud.

On that note, would you guys happen to know how likely it is that I actually will be banned if I've spent the entire day telling people to report me? Now that I have a cooler head and I'm not tilted and angry, I realise that I don't want to be banned. I fear that it might be too late though.

With the way the Instant Feedback system (IFS) works, if the system were going to punish you, you would have been punished within five minutes of the end of your match (there aren't any forces at work still determining whether you should be punished at this time, unless you said something extreme that merited a manual review). However, I can't tell you how close you are to your first/next punishment, so I will recommend a more deliberate use of words for the near future.

Just to reiterate, if your account is currently in good standing, it'll likely stay that way unless you continue to exhibit negative behavior and/or toxicity. I'm confident that you'll be able to avoid that type of behavior, but I will add the Behavior Worthy of a Champion Riot Games Support article to help you, should you need it.

Thanks for reaching out, and good luck, cheeseburger!

If you're asking for it yourself, you'll know it's fake anyway. Since you know it's fake, you can fake it i other ways too, like telling a trusted relative or friend to change your password for a couple weeks. (That's incredibly reliable, by the way. Like if you think you'd have trouble simply not playing the game, and you tell your parents about it, they'd be happy to keep your password, and exceptionally unlikely to do anything bad with it.)

Asking people to report you may not be effective anyway. If the automated system doesn't think you're banworthy, then you'd just be lowering the credibility of all reports from the accounts of the people that did report you.

In any case, it sounds like a pretty sketchy request. If I was a tier 1 customer support rep, I'd think it could be a trap of some sort, which could reflect really badly on Riot.

This is how you get banned: Riot you are a bunch fucking pussies, all these bans for shit talking on a game is insane. You have the strictest policies known to any game. People are losing hundreds if not thousands of dollars from perma bans everyday. Guess who is keeping that money with no chance of getting it back if you have gotten to the perma ban stage. You guessed it, its the midget ass ugly ass i wanna slap the shit out of him ass creator of Riot Games :). Shit hes such a twat I gotta google who the fk he is, ah got it, okay Brandon Beck. Will I prob get banned from forums for this, probably LMAO. But whatever lets see what happens haha. I cant let my anger out in the game itself so Im just gonna set this right here to let of some steam cause I cant do it in game chat.
