How to deal with people who give up because they failed their lane

I just played with a nautilus who fed in his lane and then decided to give up and just keep feeding the whole game and not play with the team.

I ganked for him as the mid laner and got kills, but he still just wouldn't come off tilt. He was complaining non stop and just walking into 1v1's against the laner he just fed during lane.

What are some techniques you use to try to get people off tilt?

none. because you cant. i had a game where atfer 10min we had 23 kills and the enemys had 2. our adc who was 7/0/3 at this moment died 1 time and said "gg im done noone helps me this game is lost" went "afk" (was still flaming us while dancing in base) and no matter what we said he stayd afk. we tried everything we promised to help always go with him etc. didnt work. we lost the game.

try telling them to not fight in as nice of a way as you can. "hey its ok, just farm under tower (or freeze if the tower is gone) and we will help you with champion X, friend" not "omg wtf stop trying to 1v1"

also hope he does something decent eventually and compliment. People that tilt need a lot of mental babysitting like this.
