RE RE: Bots in Aram games.

So my previous thread got deleted for being in the wrong section claiming that it goes in player behavior and moderation. So if a Red or a forum moderator would like to explain as to why it belongs there that would be extremely helpful instead of just outright deleting the thread.

that being said I know it may seem insignificant but I myself am closing my wallet off until the bots are at least partially removed from Aram games, or any other game mode for that fact. It's getting disgusting and out of hand and I see nothing being done to ween it or stop it. The bot in my last aram was level 27 which means it's been doing this for sometime now.

Thread got removed again, and again I would like to know why this belongs on this board and not say gameplay since you know...It's altering gameplay.

Anything that could cause a ban goes hear. Bots are banned.
They are banned in waves to not tip off the guys that make them. Report them post game for cheating. Or raise your mmr so bots dont get matched with you since they normally have low mmr.
And why punish riot for them trying to fix what is a roach problem. They can bever weed out all the bots completely because as soon as they do more get created.

Honestly I give them money because I enjoy a product they make. However with all the bots now in my favorite game mode I no longer am able to enjoy the product that I once was fond of. Bot urk me in any game I play and when they start to affect my gameplay I will stop funding company until said issue is resolved. Which I think is fair.

Ya know, it is funny. I have been reported for being a bot before, and I am definitely not. Are you sure you just don't agree with their play style?

I have never seen a bot before, and I play quite a bit of aram.

Yous mmr might be hogher i only see bots now when i play really off hours like 5 in the morning

Your MMR has to be pretty low to run into bots. At level 30 I rarely ever see them. Like close to never, and I play a decent amount of ARAM. On a new account, I see bots more often. Still not a lot, but definitely more than my main account.

I play arams when my brain is fried from blind pick or ranked or draft. So does aram have it's own separate mmr?

It does, all of the queues do. I don't know if they are connected at all.

When I play a tank in aram, I have a weird strategy that usually works out. I wait for the enemy to engage, then as soon as they do I charge into their backline. My goal is to live longer and deal more damage than the enemy that engaged us does. That way, if our teams are equal, then my team will be at an advantage.

People see me diving the enemy team alone and go "this guy is a bot, reported", it works out more often than it doesn't though. That is why I am wondering if it couldn't just be either newer people who don't know how to play or communicate well or a difference in play style.

I am not saying there are not bots in aram. I am saying that I am not seeing them and that there are possible explanations. If all else fails one could get a premade with as many people as possible to lessen the chances of getting a bot on your team.

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't point fingers and claim "BOT!!!" But when they set off red flags like not talking back to the team when we ask is he okay are you lagging etc, and they're literally running into the team like literally running face first into the team.

Maybe stay with your team more.. because this is one of the dead giveaways that you have a bot usually. However the bots are usually pretty obvious, like not reacting to your team at all, they will full dive 1v5 and then not try to run away at all.. or they will run away way too late like when they only have 1 turret hit of HP left. You not staying with your team is just as bad as a bot who dives 1v5, and this is usually why one or the other team loses ARAM is from one person soloing too much. I'm not trying to criticize your play style, but you need to stay with the team especially if you're the only tank.

If your "dead giveaway" that somebody is a bot is a strategy that people can employ successfully (as I do) then don't you think you might just be overly suspicious?

I'm talking about when they do what you're saying the entire game. If they do it 3 or 4 times it's fine, but when that's all they do all game is dive 1v5 every time they respawn then that's a dead giveaway it's a bot or intent feeding. You even said "People see me diving the enemy team alone", which whether that is a bot or not it deserves reporting because you're not working with the team at all. Your team would do better if you dove when they are around, just because it works out sometimes does not mean it's okay to ignore your team and try to solo. I understand as a tank in ARAM you have to initiate and sometimes your team does not follow up with you, but that's way different than "diving the enemy team alone" as you said.

I am though. You don't have to be near your team to be working with them. I am essentially keeping the enemy team from my team until my team can get rid of the people that dove them. If I were to do the other logical thing, peel off the guy fighting my team, then the enemy backline would be killing our team while we tried to kill him, or we would ignore him and watch our carries get blown up.

Because this issue has to do with moderation. Gameplay is more like mechanical issues, ideas for champs and other things that have to do with gameplay. People using bots to level accounts is a player behavior. Wanting to do something about it is moderation. They are moderating the game. You see?

Bots ruin low level ARAM, ARAM accounts ruin high level ARAM you just can't win :/ it's my favorite mode as well

By the time you start not seeing as many bots.. is the same time you start to see tons of ARAM only accounts. The time inbetween this is perfect, and it's why I have to keep making new accounts. I would make an ARAM only account but that ruins the random element for me. If they would make it truly random select from all champions.. then we would only have to worry about the (admittedly huge) bot problem.
