New Emotes will exacerbate Toxicity in games.

I find it strange that while trying to earnestly reduce toxicity in game, Riot adds this new emote system that will likely cause more tilting. Already when your lane opponent outplays you 1v1 and flashes their mastery emote, you get tilted. Its definitely rubbing salt on a wound. In general, act of flashing emotes occurs after a skirmish and lets the losing opponent know that they have gotten outplayed. I know this isnt the main source of tilting, yet it only NEGATIVELY affects the player and will tilt a player even more if they are already tilted. So herein lies the paradox.

There's a mute button for a reason.

Tilt isn't the same as toxicity, though.

I know that.

I'm just questioning Riot's true intentions/endeavors when it comes to the issue of toxicity.

I honestly think they care less. They are just pulling the minimum effort while the maximum effort goes to devising ways to get your money into their pockets, which the latter case is understandable. I just wish while increasing their profits, they can work harder in reducing the toxicity.

Don't worry your little heart, at the price Riot wants for one emote I doubt anyone is going to buy them. Not one have I been playing all day and not seen a single emote other then the base one, but also I have been watching people talk in chat almost every game about that they believe Riot is totally crazy for not selling them for IP/BE. Anywhere you look people think its totally bonkers that Riot wants money for something that flashes on the screen for two seconds and then goes away. I don't know why Riot would do this for something so mundane I really don't think anyone other then the kid with mom credit card will even buy them.

You can spam the new emotes at light speed and there's no timer on them.

I'm also not going to spend money on them because Riot is getting out of control with how much stuff they're putting out and the RP prices they have tagged to them.

lol @ little heart.

I just hate seeing friends quit this game because they cant handle the everyday troll/int/afk/ragers that make up a good portion of our player base community. Sadly, according to riot, only 0.06% get banned.

Remember, you can now mute Emotes as well as pings and the actual person! So people trying to tilt others is not going to be an issue for you as long as you utilize the tools provided to you!
