Bans don't work: Split the community between 'Agressive' and 'Friendly' (Toxic v non toxic)

Seriously, lots of people are into that hyper competitive trash talking thing And lots of people hate it

Maybe we could just... check a box and have the matchmaking system be split between people who want it and those who don't

the reason why I say this is because dude who get banned just quick and grind up a new account, grab their handful of mains, and then get banned again. The trash talking isn't always actual rage, it's like... people trying to be alpha. *** I don't agree with it but I see that people want their games this way, and i don't see riot dealing with the issue in a way that works***

so instead of continuing a constant and unending cycle, might as well just solve the problem, put the ragers in their own lobbies, their own games, their own ranking systems

make it all alpha sounding, Instead of bronze/silver/gold/plat/daimond give them like trash/salt/cancer/rek'd/beast/tyler1 and whatever other toxic ass terms we can come up with

Make them love the toxicity and keep them in it

give them little borders

market to it for all i care

just fucking do something to make the game less ragey for people who want a friendly match, and let the ragers go rage somewhere else. Fuck it we all like to play the game and we can't get along, lets just find a middle ground here

Prisoner Island is what they call it, and they don't like the idea because it doesn't reform or ban, it just keeps toxic people toxic.

Here is a question for you. When did it become okay for a game company to tell you the way you act is wrong, and attempt to change your behavior. Last I checked riot wasn't the government.

I think this is all so stupid and riot should spend a little more time looking at this stuff instead of releasing skins, they "fixed" leveling so when are they going to fix this?

I don't think it should be mandatory, but rather incentive based

People aren't going to change, but hey, give the option to go into toxic mode and if they fuck up at all in non-toxic mode then fucking permaban someone's account, and auto reban if they buy something with the same credit cards or whatever, otherwise in toxic mode let them be assholes who tell eachother to commit suicide and scream racist shit at eachother because someone stole blue or whatnot

if you can climb through that shit then good for you, that sounds like something i'd honestly abstain from but hey fuck it, I want you toxic fucks out of my games and I don't like how you get banned for being yourselves as such a big fucking part of the community

The percentage of people being punished is less than 1%. It's not a "big" part of the community, it's a minuscule fraction.

I was referring to the number of people being permanently banned from the game, I seem to recall that number being less than 1%. If you include all people being punished, it probably is 5%, but that's still a tiny fraction of the entire player base.

Well, as much as I am against bans and you'll notice I spend 90% of forum time defending banned players, it is their game, and they can say who can and cannot play it.

I just think what they are doing wrong in terms of severity.

Riot isn't trying to change your behavior, they are setting guidelines for what kind of people they want playing their game. That being people who are mentally stable and function in social settings.

it became ok when you clicked on "i agree to the ToS" when you made the account. you agreed to the rules, you ended up breaking them and riot is punishing you for the rule breaking. why is that hard for you to compute?

i would like for them to start talling up reports or chat restrictions and putting them in another queue where theyre just matched with other toxic ppl. no timers for queue like low priority or anything but like.... just once they reach a certain number of griefing reports they end up in the queue with the rest of the toxic ppl. and then after a certain amoutn of games where they dont get any reports they can come back to regular queue.

I think it should be as follows

You can make a choice every time you want to join a game

if you cross a certain red line, you never get to go to non-toxic mode again, any alt account you have gets auto perma'd if you get caught, like through using the same credit card or something obvious

that's the response to give em, as they tell you guys, "Just mute them and then you wont rage" "Just mute them and they wont seem as toxic"

How about in normal games. Your block list is also a list of people you don't get matching with on your team. Problems solved. If someones a troll/ uber duck, arse hat you can block them. No tribunal crap that doesn't work, no waiting on riot to do nothing. If you don't want to play with someone you can decide.

People will be less dbags if it will directly impact their que timers. Those that don't, will wait. The more people you piss off the longer your que time gets.

Immediate action and consequences.
