When an enemy or teammate constantly says "Ez"

Can they get banned for it?

It's the most BM thing they could do and I've seen it being said constantly in the new account leveling process. I can't imagine how irritating it is for new players to play against or with someone who enjoys saying that to get a rage out of someone.

I've been reporting these type of people for a long term but I wasn't sure if Riot considers it to be worth the banning :/

The best way to think about whether or not to submit a report is how you feel about the game. If you feel like it was a rude / unsportsmanlike jab then report it so the system can start to recognize a pattern and punish accordingly.

I unequivocally DETEST "EZ" "GGEZ" and will 100% report it. Every. Single. Time.

It's just like finishing a game, even if it was a close one and - instead of shaking the other players hands and saying "good game" - walk up to their face and say "HA HA GET GOOD YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF TRASH! I'M THE MAN AND YOU SUCK!".

Yeah, just because they want to be passive aggressive and put their 'big boy' panties on, doesn't mean you have to let it slide. :)

They wont be banned for saying ez once, but it will definently contribute to a future punishment. Meaning if they spam it every game, they might eventually get chat-restricted. It will also contribute if they are flaming, meaning the system counts 'ez' as part of the flame.

I have Heard of people getting banned for "gg ez" at the end of the match, but i don't 100% know if its true. If someone gets tilted they should consider disabling all chat or /mute all. I like to keep all chat on to see who is raging on enemy team to camp them as jungler...

By itself, 'ggez' doesn't usually get punished, but it is considered unsportsmanlike and using it consistantly or in conjuction with other negative behavior can lead to a pinishment.

I find it so distasteful whenever anyone says ez... however, I don't think it's not bannable.

I just mute and block people who say ez (outside of the ezreal context) because they're usually jerkwads as teammates/opponents and I hope to never have to play with them again.

A good question. And if Ezreal is in the game it would get a bit confusing, I imagine

I had this same question and Riot said that it is chat ban worthy

They definitely should get a chat ban at least. People need to learn to have respect, not only for their allies but for their opponents.
