Think it is good to get feedback when someone reports you. Nothing wrong with that. However, in many instances it is a pansy report where the person didn't do anything wrong verbally the other person just didn't like their play style or was angry because they had a bad game. Make the announcement of being reported factual but keep the "Everyone has a bad day" crap out of it. You system is making evaluative judgements it is not smart enough to make. What happens to me when I get reported by someone who was mad because they played poorly or lost an argument and reported out of retaliation is I start transferring some of my anger at the false reporting to riot for having a mommy message that acts like I was in the wrong when I was not. If I am in the wrong fine. I don't mind getting an announcement. Nice to have a warning. I think that is needed but keep the judgements out of it. That part is a joke. Makes me not like riot which I assume is not your goal Lyte.

I think what I'm supposed to get out of this is that you don't like the way the report warning popup is worded?

Yep. It makes an evaluative judgement that the report was correct. Don't need that for it to accomplish its objective of letting you know someone was mad. Make it factual..."You were reported for verbal abuse". Ok, I can reflect on that and see if I deserved that. Maybe I did. Good to know if that is the case. Maybe I didn't deserve that at all. The reporter was a jerk and false reported. My point is everytime I get the message from riot where it assumes I am guilty it makes me not like riot. Announcement should be factual but not evaluative. Riot should be like a neutral referee not taking the side of person who reported just because they reported. That is what their message reads and feels like. "You got reported so you definitely deserved it." Not correct at all. Way more subtle than that.

This is not an alternate account of mine, DTN.

I agree, OP.

I don't think anyone likes the way the pop up is worded. It suggests you did something wrong even if you did not just because someone reported you.

That can easily be changed.

I think they should add something like "this automatic warning doesn't mean you are guilty, we will look into it and you won't be punished if the report is fake"etc
