Is Minion Pinning a Punishable Offense?

There's a video going around of a mechanic where you can pin a minion to your tower at level 1 to make the wave crash into your turret sooner. Someone told me that it's cheating and I might get banned for it. Is that the case, or is it okay to do?

EDIT: For those wondering, I sent in a support ticket and they said there's nothing wrong with this.

I don't think so, honestly.

There has previously been mechanics that give you an advantage (duo jungling comes to mind as the most stand-out example) that weren't intended and nobody was punished off of that. If you have a video of this tactic I'm interested in seeing it, but overall I wouldn't worry. If anything it'll get patched out.

I hear you can pin a Sion to enemy turrets the entire game and won't get punished.

Previously Gangplank could straight up kill one of his minions with an ability of his. There was a tactic where you took this ability at level one and immediately used it as soon as the wave spawned, following the wave and using it again before it managed to get to the middle of the lane. This deprived the enemy of two minions on the first wave, but was a perfectly allowed tactic.

No, it's not cheating, as long as you using in game mechanics without the use of devices that control your movement.

It's a legitimate strategy. There's nothing wrong with it. You cannot get banned for simply moving in game, so long as it does not break anything. As far as I am aware, this is not something Riot would punish anyone for.

You won't get banned, the same tactic exists in Dota 2, and it's a legit tactic so I don't see a reason not to do it in League

I think I know what you're talking about - pushing a Minion to the corner of a turret so that the enemy minion wave outnumbers your own, and pushes through the lane faster?

AFAIK, it's pretty difficult to get to work correctly (especially since sometime in, what, 2017? Riot worked on Minion pathfinding to mitigate a vast majority of pathfinding manipulations for wave management.), and while it is exploiting a bug to manipulate waves, I'm not 100% sure about whether or not it's punishable.

You should probably send in a Support Ticket asking about it, just to be sure.

So you mean like in DOTA?
