AFK and Ranked

There needs to be a more severe punishment for AFKers, especially those that get tagged with AFK buster and it's early in the game. I had a game where one person "couldn't" play and then he went AFK and then his duo queue went AFK and we lost a 3v5.

People like that need to be banned or have severe rank drops because that kind of behavior is just unacceptable. Why is it OK for people to hurt random people's ranked games like this?

Why doesn't riot actually address this AFK problem properly? I have had so many AFK players and it's making me hate this game because 70-80% of the time, I can't win 4v5's and definitely not 3v5's

A better method would be not lowering the elo of the other players or giving an extra 20 pump. although that would be better on a win of the less than 5v5. Actually punishing them for the severe cases would be a hassle and would require the tribunal which has been replaced by a bot... and the tribunal itself was flawed. Or we could all just act like challenger's and if one is afk we all afk minimizing the misery.

Riot expects you to figure it out, and probably make your own 5 man. That's probably why ranked has such an easy invite system and is no longer considered solo que unless you actually que solo. Hell they even removed the "Refusing to communicate" report option, so that's where the game is heading. If you que solo; Simply don't talk and suck it up to the trolls and afkers. Solo is for Silver.

I feel like there's no way out of silver doing solo queue because so many people tilt so easily and they'll afk at the drop of a hat
