The root of the problem is still not dealt with

Constant DC's all over my games, many games have at least 1 AFK or partial AFK or someone who disconnects then reconnects.

This is why there is a lot of negative attitude in games!

PROPOSED SOLUTION: DO NOT START THE GAME IF ONE PERSON DOES NOT LOAD INTO GAME, TREAT IT AS A Q DODGE. IF MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE DO NOT LOAD, NO PENALTIES ARE GIVEN OUT, GAME DOES NOT START.

IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 2 AFKS IN A CERTAIN MATCH, END THE MATCH IN A TIE. (Duos count as 1 person).

Also, we have a system where trolls can actively bait people into saying things and then reporting them.

Solution: Add a report option for baiting.

**MORE SOLUTIONS:

ADD A VOTE END OPTION TO END IN A TIE. MUST PASS 3/5 ON BOTH TEAMS. That way people can actually leave games if nobody is having fun in them.

make detecting hackers and cheaters a priority!

I hope that someone addresses something like this.

The DCs eventually get taken care of. Or sometimes it just happens. Life happens, it sucks. I agree there should be some kind of shield against DCs in ranked, the problem is determining if someone is trying to reduce their loss or not. I suppose you could have the DCer take full penalty and the others on the team take reduced LP hits?

The actively bait thing is on you to not react. Wait until after game, report them, they get in trouble, you don't.

INteresting proposals. I'm not sure how the load screen one will work, I'm pretty sure that's a separate process. Adding a report option for baiting could work, though I think you need to provide an example of what you mean by baiting that isn't just verbal abuse.

Baiting: "Go on, call me a motherfucking asshole. Call me an asshole, I dare you."

Or spamming taunt+ laugh at your own team while intentionally feeding.

it's verbal abuse. Dont need another category. I believe Rito is moving the OTHER way ie fewer categories.

I think baiting should be separate.

Verbal abuse is just you abusing/harassing someone verbally. Your goal is to make someone feel bad, but not necessarily to get them into trouble.

baiting is differnt because the purpose of baiting in itself is to purposely get someone else in trouble.

Here's another example of baiting that isn't really verbal abuse.

Baiter: "What's a word that begins with f and rhymes with duck?" or "what do the British call a cigarette?"

I wouldn't call that verbal abuse but it's definitely baiting.

Are... are you saying that you would respond to this? I, uh, this is like 6th grade level stuff.

Well, there was this kid in school who did not speak English very well, and he doesn't know a lot of English slang. And bullies would ask him stuff like that, and he'd google it and just read what he finds on google without really knowing what the slang means. he'd get really confused when the bullies started laughing until someone told him he was getting baited.

And some Aspergers or autistic kids may also fall for that, and some really mean people try to bait them and it's really wrong. that's why I think baiting should be a separate category of report.

In another issue I think that threats should also be a separate category of report diffeernt from verbal abuse.

Threats and mean-spirited baiting should be dealt with more severely than normal "verbal abuse" which may just be saying "ggez".

None of this really explains (or excuses) all the verbal abuse of another player who IS in game.

Laugh spamming is spam, you click that. I respond to laugh spam by making sure that person dies horribly in every team fight or muting them, it has never really been 'bait'.

I think of baiting very seriously because many of the people who are victims of baiting are usually people who may have issues reading social situations and it's very mean of someone to take advantage of that to bully someone.
